No hate to you but the way you talk about Sirius Black is kind of aphobic
You’re basically erasing a whole variety of possible identities and life experiences by saying that he was 100% in love with James.
Is it possible that Sirius was in love with James? Sure. But it’s also possible that it was strong platonic or queerplatonic love.
I don’t want to be harsh, but I honestly think you’re projecting. I think you’re projecting and expecting me, within the way I interpret the text and envision the characters based on what I actually see in canon, to adapt my opinions to what you want to read into them. And that’s not the case.
It’s not the case because you and I probably have different experiences, different ways of seeing the world, and different personal histories when it comes to relationships. Neither is better or worse, it’s just different. I interpret the characters in a specific way, and you’re free to interpret them differently. That doesn’t mean your interpretation is wrong, but it also doesn’t mean you get to come here and accuse me of being aphobic just because I interpret Sirius as being completely obsessed with James. I have never said Sirius was obsessed with having sex with James. I said he was obsessed with James. You can interpret that however you want.
Also, at no point have I said that Sirius Black is gay. I’ve said he was obsessed with James. Liking a man does not mean you’re gay. Liking a man does not mean you only like men. Liking a man does not mean you want to sleep with a man. I honestly think you’re projecting.
You can have whatever headcanons you want and interpret Sirius as aroace if you like. I have never said that interpretation is wrong. What I keep repeating is that I really dislike Wolfstar. I think it’s a cancer in this fandom. It didn’t use to be, now it absolutely is. I also think the interpretations of Sirius as an extremely feminine, whiny, almost stupid character whose sole purpose is to cry about Remus not loving him, or the idea that Walburga physically abused him, are completely absurd. They’re outrageous and they destroy the character.
I have never said Sirius can’t be heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, asexual, or aromantic. As far as sexual orientation goes, I think Sirius is a character whose sexuality is not defined. He can be whatever you want him to be. My issue with most Sirius interpretations has much more to do with how his character, personality, and image have been stripped away, and how that affects the narrative and the construction of the character itself. They’ve turned him into a 15-year-old, 40-kilo, 1.60-metre boy whose only personality trait is crying over a werewolf’s dick. That’s my problem. I have never said Sirius’s sexuality is defined, nor have I ever claimed that in any post.
Once again, I think you’ve read a couple of things I’ve said, skipped the context, got triggered, started projecting, and came at me with this. I don’t know what else to tell you. If you want to project onto Sirius and analyse him from that perspective, that’s absolutely fine. I’ve already said what my issue is. So no — I don’t think this is phobic. I genuinely don’t.
