গাজাও তো ফিলিস্তিনেরই একটি অংশ, তবু কেন বারবার গাজা?

ইসরাইল যদি সত্যিই ফিলিস্তিনের এত বড় শত্রু হয়, তাহলে প্রশ্ন আসে—সে কেন পুরো ফিলিস্তিন জুড়ে একই রকম আক্রমণ চালায় না? যেভাবে গাজার ওপর চালায়, সেভাবে কেন নয়?

গাজাও তো ফিলিস্তিনেরই একটি অংশ। তবু কেন বারবার গাজা? আর কেন বিশেষ করে নর্থ গাজা—যেখানে ধ্বংস নেমে আসে সবচেয়ে ভয়াবহভাবে?

এই প্রশ্নটা হালকা কোনো প্রশ্ন না। এই প্রশ্নের ভেতরেই লুকিয়ে আছে অনেক না–বলা সত্য।

চলুন, একটু পেছনে ফিরে দেখি।

ঘটনার সূত্রপাত ১৯৫৬ সালে। মিশরের তৎকালীন রাষ্ট্রপতি জামাল আব্দুল নাসের সুয়েজ খালকে জাতীয়করণ করেন। এই একটি সিদ্ধান্তই বিশ্ব রাজনীতির শক্তির ভারসাম্য নড়িয়ে দিয়েছিল।

সুয়েজ খাল শুধু একটা জলপথ নয়— এটা বিশ্ব বাণিজ্যের মেরুদণ্ড। ভূমধ্যসাগর আর লাল সাগরকে যুক্ত করে এই খালই এশিয়া, মধ্যপ্রাচ্য আর ইউরোপের মধ্যে সবচেয়ে সংক্ষিপ্ত বাণিজ্যপথ তৈরি করেছে।

এই খাল না থাকলে কী হতো? এশিয়া আর মধ্যপ্রাচ্য থেকে তেল আর পণ্য নিয়ে জাহাজগুলোকে পুরো আফ্রিকা ঘুরে কেপ অফ গুড হোপ দিয়ে যেতে হতো। খরচ বাড়ত বহুগুণ, সময় লাগত অস্বাভাবিক বেশি, আর বিশ্ব বাণিজ্য কার্যত থমকে যেত।

আজও বিশ্ব বাণিজ্যের প্রায় ১২ শতাংশ এই একটিমাত্র খাল দিয়ে সম্পন্ন হয়। মিশর বছরে প্রায় ৯ বিলিয়ন ডলার আয় করে শুধু সুয়েজ খাল থেকেই।

এবার আসি ইসরাইলের প্রসঙ্গে।

১৯৪৮ থেকে ১৯৫০ সাল পর্যন্ত মিশর ইসরাইলি জাহাজ চলাচল বন্ধ করে দেয়। এরপর ৬০-এর দশকে টানা প্রায় আট বছর সুয়েজ খাল পুরোপুরি বন্ধ থাকে। এই সময়টা ইসরাইলের জন্য ছিল দুঃস্বপ্নের মতো।

কারণ সুয়েজ খাল দিয়ে ইসরাইলের বাণিজ্য বন্ধ মানে— অর্থনীতি থমকে যাওয়া, সরবরাহ ব্যবস্থা ভেঙে পড়া, আর রাষ্ট্রীয় নিরাপত্তা চরম ঝুঁকির মুখে পড়া।

এই অভিজ্ঞতাই ইসরাইলের মনে এক গভীর ভয় ঢুকিয়ে দেয়— যদি অন্যের হাতে তাদের বাণিজ্যপথ থাকে, তাহলে তারা সবসময় দুর্বল থাকবে।

সেখান থেকেই জন্ম নেয় এক স্বপ্ন—নিজেদের আলাদা একটি জলপথ। এই প্রকল্পের নাম দেওয়া হয় “বেন–গুরিয়ন ক্যানাল”।

এখানে একটা বিষয় পরিষ্কার করা জরুরি।

👉 আমরা যে “খাল”-এর কথা বলছি, সেটা কোনো নদী নয়। নদী প্রাকৃতিক, জীবন দেয়। আর এই খাল—পুরোপুরি কৃত্রিম, মানুষের বানানো, বাণিজ্য আর ক্ষমতার হিসাব থেকে জন্ম নেওয়া।

প্রথম দিকের নকশায় চেষ্টা ছিল, যেন ফিলিস্তিনিদের বড় ক্ষতি না করেই এই খাল বানানো যায়। কিন্তু সেই নকশা ছিল সময়সাপেক্ষ, খরচসাপেক্ষ, আর জটিল।

তখনই হিসাবটা বদলায়।

খরচ বাঁচাতে, সময় বাঁচাতে, ইসরাইল সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়—এই খাল যাবে সোজা গাজার ভেতর দিয়ে।

কিন্তু এর মানে কী?

এর মানে— গাজার মানুষকে উচ্ছেদ করতে হবে। নর্থ গাজাকে ফাঁকা করতে হবে। বোমাবর্ষণ, ধ্বংস, গণহত্যা—সবকিছুই “প্রয়োজন” হয়ে যাবে।

আর বাস্তবে আজ আমরা সেটাই দেখছি।

এই দৃষ্টিতে গাজা আর শুধু একটি ভূখণ্ড না। গাজা হয়ে ওঠে একটি “বাধা”। আর শক্তির রাজনীতিতে বাধা মানেই—তা সরিয়ে ফেলতে হবে।

পানামা খাল এই গল্পের আরেকটি দিক দেখায়। পানামা খাল বিশ্ব বাণিজ্যের প্রায় ৫ শতাংশ পরিচালনা করে, আর সুয়েজ খাল করে প্রায় ১২ শতাংশ।

এই দুই খাল মিলিয়ে বৈশ্বিক বাণিজ্যের বিশাল অংশে প্রভাব রাখা যায়। আর যেখানে বাণিজ্য, সেখানেই ক্ষমতা। আর যেখানে ক্ষমতা, সেখানেই আধিপত্য।

এই কথাগুলো বলার উদ্দেশ্য একটাই।

যদি কখনো তোমার দেশে, বা যেকোনো দেশে, ইসরাইলকে স্বীকৃতি দেওয়ার আওয়াজ জোরালো হয়— তখন চুপ করে থাকা চলবে না।

তখন বলতে হবে—

আমরা এই জালিমকে, এই অত্যাচারী শক্তিকে, এই অবিচারের প্রতীককে মেনে নিই না।

কারণ গাজা শুধু একটি জায়গার নাম না। গাজা হলো সেই আয়না, যেখানে শক্তিশালীদের আসল চেহারা স্পষ্ট হয়ে ওঠে।
