The rain had been coming down all day, slowing but not ceasing the bustle on the streets. People still hurried by in coats with popped collars and a rainbow of varying umbrella colors. Business in the city had to go on despite the dreary weather. The doors of the convenience store swung open and shut as people stopped to escape the rain for a while or purchase methods of keeping dry.
Sunggyu just outside the door, mostly ignoring his surroundings, more occupied with his ramen. Two empty bowls of the instant noodles sat in front of him, neatly stacked beside his empty collection of juice bottles. Very few people spared him glances, and he spared very few in return. The third bowl of ramen was starting to make him feel a little guilty, but it was by no means impossible to eat. He had always been terrible at picking just one flavor, so three was the bare minimum, especially with the amount of work he'd done all day.
The tables around him filled and emptied, yet his stayed a table of one even as seats ran out for the dinner rush of the single and down-on-their-luck. Such was expected and generally preferred as far as he was concerned.
