Once, telekinesis and dream recording were considered merely fiction.
Today, they are becoming reality thanks to the technological advancements in the field of neuroscience.
Real-time mapping of brain activity, allows recreation of the visual content of our thoughts, memories or even dreams. Channeling of impulses produced by so-called "mirror neurons", makes possible to move and control objects (for example, a robotic exoskeleton) by power of thought.
The innovations of neuroscience made their way to the market of consumer electronics in form of affordable EEG headsets, capable of detecting a wide range of brain frequencies, open to various uses.
One such use is in mind controlled video games.
The goal of the interdisciplinary workshop "Mind Games" is to harness the creative potential offered by EEG headset technology in development of innovative interactive concepts.
Students acquire the knowledge for conception and development of personal gaming projects. At the end of the workshop, prototypes could be elaborated.
