I’m not! I just get frustrated

plus I’m like so bad at being creative and like coming up with stuff to draw like idk how people decide to put this with that and make shit look cute like all I can do is look at a picture and copy the picture I don’t know how to make it look cute or cool or whatever and I’m so bad at trying to come up with stuff without just copying a picture

I get really frustrated seeing other artists create and I’m like but HOW y’know

but yeah! I’m gonna do more nature stuff fo sho

I think cause I don’t want to just use stock photos and I don’t want to steal so I think I’m going to start painting my pictures like the nature photography that I do I’m going to just paint that

cause then it is my original work either way haha and I won’t have to worry about what to paint as much I can just pic something off my insta

I’ve just got some hurdles I need to get over if I ever want to be like a legit artist and it just feels like I’ve been trying to get over them forever so it gets annoying idk

I read someone once that all art starts as duplication and eventually you just sort of start to change? Like I cant remember specifically but like personal style really does develope because at first yeah its mostly duplication of what you have as examples.

yeah a lot of artists say to like copy other artists work and then you eventually develop your own style

I actually think I should start doing that like try to copy my favorite artists to kind of see how they do it I’ve never actually done that really because I feel like that’s kinda weird idk

I used to do that when I was like a teen, I drew like power puff girls stuff and jhonen vasquez kind of stuff all the time and a little bit of gorillaz lol

9 aaaaaaaand 16! And you can only pick one movie, best of the best

all the tattoos. no seriously I have a list a mile long. biggest ones are a back tattoo with stars and crows/ravens that says ‘all we are is stars’ (from gorillaz), fix/add to my neck tat so it’s a combo of the cap and sag symbols, stars....stars everywhere, the cap constellation, an octopus on my arm (copying murdoc’s tat), the happy and sad jester faces from homestuck on either side of my chest (for gamzeeeeee/and representing my own duality and sstuff blah blah), I’ve considered “remember, hurting yourself is your super-power” somewhere (from dp comics) or something for/from dp (that quote because a lot of the time it feels like that’s literally my life/my purpose on this stupid planet), Eric and I have talked about matching tattoos...one idea I liked was to have the like actual aim chat boxes with our first words to each other

as for my fav movie....my all time favorite movie ever is Moon

Except it is a cult. If you dont fit the mold no one has any patience for you. For example, this.

You curate your feed based off of the people or tags that you follow. It's a people based system, unlike forums or things like Reddit where it's an echo chamber of topics/ideas instead of people. Tumblr is one of the big websites of today and as such has a largely diverse set of viewpoints. Give people any sort of anonymity online and they will find ways to voice their ideas. The concept that this is confined to Tumblr is infuriating and incredibly narrow sighted because it takes the few things that the tumblr community does right (particularly in social views) and demeans it, while sites such as Reddit, Instagram, etc, all have very similar communities with particular niche good things. The singling out of Tumblr is the thing that I have a problem with

I'm trying on that front now too, but it's a huge kick in the groin after spending well over 100k for my degree...
