Simblr Simply for Fun Challenge 3

@plumdrops‘ Millie and Hallie Becker came to have a sleepover at Emma’s grandma Suoma’s old house. Emma was thrilled to have company of her own age, though ofcourse she likes being with her Suoma-mummu. Building a snowman and a snow house was a sweaty task, and Millie wasn’t too interested to help. She was far to eager to eat her mittens and snow when no one noticed.

After napping the girls went out again to have a little snowball fight. The weather was about to get colder, and in the morning they were expecting -25 degrees in the area. No snowballs could be done, so everything had to be done during that day.

Hallie’s snow angel came up pretty well, but Emma had problems getting up and she messed it up a little. Millie wasn’t too in to angels at that moment. After a few hours of play it was getting darker and the girls clothes were so wet that Suoma called them all indoors and to warm up in the sauna. How nice it felt to have cold cheeks, nose, fingers and bum warming in the sweet heat of the sauna stove! Suoma told them stories about a sauna elf that used to live there before the sauna stove was changed from wood burning stove to an electrical one. Hallie and Emma were sorry for the elf, but Millie seemed to be skeptical if the elf ever existed. Or maybe she just wasn’t listening, because she also seemed to focus on splashing with water.

After sauna Suoma baked them way too much crepes, like grandmas do, with some hot cocoa. The girls got to play a while before going to bed, and the livingroom furniture was moved to side for them to be sleeping in the same corner. Suoma decided to sleep on the couch just in case someone would get homesick, but at least Emma noticed she fell a sleep the moment Millie was sleeping, and she snored. But after a day like this Hallie and Emma would be soon asleep aswell, but not before a few little giggles and funny looks they shared before saying good night. Hopefully the clothes would dry in the sauna, because then they could go skiing the next day.

Thank you plumdrops for collaboration and introducing me to this fun challenge in the first place! I should have gone to bed too for about an hour ago, so I’ll proofread my text when my brain works again. I was working for the pics way too late every day anyway, and I just wanted to get it posted finally! I’m no way happy about my pics, I didn’t have any child or toddler cc, snow slide I wanted them to use, or proper winter clothes, nothing, but one has to get started from some point and get things done in timely fashion. I also took pics from Suoma and the girls in sauna, but I wasn’t sure how they would feel if I posted pics of them publicly. You know, you’re supposed to naked in the sauna :D Here’s a few extra pics because the winter pics were so boring.

All about Silva

Here’s my introduction I’ve been meaning to do since I found my way to SSFF Challenges. I have no answer for so many of the questions, but I try to keep this relevant.

So hi, I’m Silva/Silvakristiina! I’m a Finnish 26 years old multipotential forever-student.. In real life I do events, third sector, volunteer coordination and youth work. Besides simming, I’m an active Scout and do other volunteer work, sing, play with dollhouses, paint and draw etc... I have hundreds of projects running at the same time. I have a golden crest guinea pig called Terho (Acorn) and I live in Helsinki, which I hate. Or at least want to move back home to a much smaller town, where horse back riding might be almost affordable. And I have accidentally grown a small indoor garden at my grandpas house that doesn’t fit to our Helsinki flat. I love nature, so if you ever get to Finland, I’ll take you to a national park for hiking and a camp fire. And oh, apparently I have ADHD. That’s enough to jeopardize my anonymity for now :D

I’ve been simming since the Sims 2 somewhere 2004-2005 when my mother bought the game for me and my sister. Little did she know how that game would change our lives and how much money and time we would waste spend with the series. I also learned to eat cheese, because in the Sims 2 the sims were constantly desiring cheese sandwiches, and I started craving for them too. I’ve actually been eating them this week and have cheese and toast on my shopping list atm. Maybe I should eat one right now, now that I mentioned it...

At the moment I play the Sims 3 and just started giving a chance to the Sims 4. Well, usually I don’t play at all. My fun is searching for new CC, creating stories in my head, try out new worlds and design my blog. Sometimes I even create sims and build stuff, but hardly ever get to the actual game. I have taken building realistic houses to my heart, and would like to upload them too. I wish I had more time to spend on simming.

I’m very open and tell everyone I play the Sims 3. I’ve been in one meeting in Finland, and met the coolest Finnish simmer there is and keep in touch wirh her professionally. I grew up with friends playing Sims 2 and 3, and we still talk about it frequently, though I’m the only one who takes it this seriously. And none of has has liked the Sims 4!

I have been a super late adapter to Simblrs and I’m really sorry for that. I started somewhere around Christmas. The community seems to get more quiet, but it’s okay. The people left are super nice and supportive for each other. I’m not that into game play things, but I love watching beautiful pictures from other simmers games. My sims hardly ever age up, because I don’t play so much and I never let them to, unless they born in game, so I feel sometimes very different from other simmers. I can’t create CC even if I wanted to, so I try to brand myself as a builder :D SSFF Challenges has given me a reason to focus more on the sims and taking pictures about them. My sim Emma seems to be my SSFF sim that I share, but she was ment to be the protagonist of my story. I’ve been planning it for maybe the past five years, so it’s nice that there’s actually some use for her. If I told you about the story, would you push me with it if you’re interested?

I’m a very nice person and wish to be contacted with a low threshold. I might come across as shy, and trying to be super polite especially to strangers has it’s toll on meaningful conversations, but we’ll get there! :)
