sspectre replied to your post: Oh man that reply thegamingmuse made got me thinking- What if in the Pacific Rim/Mass Effect AU Thane dies while in their Jaeger with Kolyat instead of in a hospital (assuming Thane is still sick in the AU)? He would literally FEEL his dad die. He would feel him essentially disappear, and then Kolyat would be completely alone in his mind.

ok, from someone who JUST watched Pacific Rim last night? Mako is anything BUT the infantilized mecha waifu character. I'd go into why I think that but I don't want to be spoilery. This was the first action movie that I was actually able to be engaged in and actually not cringe at in years and I really hope you have a blast with you cousin!
yeah after having seen it now I really have nfi what that person was on about before, I thought she was an amazing character and quite frankly stole the damn movie tbh
she was one of the most amazingly human elements of the movie and it wouldn't have been half as good without her
oh and the kiddo loved it! she normally falls asleep on the subway ride home when I take her places but she was all :D :D :D :D :D and could not stop gushing about it and I saw her drawing Mako in her sketchbook before bedtime.
