Please tell me you have any sodding idea what's happening in Transfiguration. I stopped paying attention three weeks ago, and the test is tomorrow.

Making Things Right || Amycus & Emma
He hadn't gone to Hogsmeade. There hadn't been much of a point, not with Lecto hiding from him and Emma... Well he really didn't have anyone to blame for that situation but himself. Even blaming Fenwick felt like a coop-out, which was infuriating, as blaming his inferiors had never involved an ounce of guilt before this. So he hadn't gone to Hogsmeade, opting instead to lie on the couch in the Common and get drunk enough that the younger students shot him increasingly worried looks.
God, he hated kids. He knew that, as a prefect, he really ought to... reach out to them, smile, tick off all the things on the list Morrison had given them all at the beginning of the year. It wasn't going to happen. He didn't like children. They were all too happy and well-adjusted. Leave the coddling to Emma, she could at least stand them. Scowling at a particularly short Second Year he burrowed himself farther into the couch, eyes red-rimmed and angry. The alcohol was wearing off by now. He was bordering on sober and too frustrated to get up and go hunt for more booze. God, he wished he could just talk to Emma without losing all sense. She made him ten different kinds of stupid, and even worse, she made him enjoy the feeling of tripping over his own tongue. It wasn't fair. She wasn't fair. Things weren't supposed to fall to shit like this. He barely even noticed as someone entered the Common Room and crossed over to the couch.
