LOL really? I can’t.
It's been out for threeish weeks (the whole song), so I wonder why he said something negative now. It's possible that this is the first time he's been asked about it, or given the chance to talk about the cover, but still.

I bet he was expecting exposure and $$$, which he got. So very classy to turn around and complain about the cover that got him those things.
Yeah, he definitely got that, so I really wonder what his issue is? Unless it's an issue of more people liking the cover than the original? It's just really childish and unprofessional of him to complain like that.

yeah. It sounds really foolish to complain. Like, you did this for the exposure, so quit yer bitchin.
And the funny thing is he got the exposure and is now complaining about what helped him get it. It's a great cover of the song; if he had issues with it he shouldn't have said them like that to a journalist or magazine, or whoever he spoke with. He should have been polite, said thank you, and then left it at that.

you give Glee permission to cover your song, you're going to get a Glee version of your song. It's simple 1+1=2 Maybe Gotye was expecting... I don't even know what Gotye was expecting.

I'm very >:||||||| about this episode, because a) it'll be offensive, because they're doing the fucking domestic abuse storyline, b) they're doing a domestic abuse storyline, and c) they're doing a fucking DOMESTIC ABUSE STORYLINE
but on the other side of that, it's also Kurt and Rachel's audition for NYADA and I really want to see that.
Good thing I won't be home to watch it, and I can check back once it's done to see what I need to skip
