[Retired] Off-the-Grid Typewriter v.3 (BGC)

This typewriter is now retired and no longer supported! I haven't played TS4 in a long time and haven't kept up with the updates so certain interactions may not function any more.

This typewriter uses custom tuning. For more information on the tuning process, and a more detailed changelog, see this post.

September 15, 2021 Edit: Version 3 is now out! Please replace any previous versions with MadameRiaTypewriterOTGv3. You cannot have both in your game at the same time!

What’s new in version 3:

Freelance writing career should now be fully functional! My testing abilities were not so great when I first made this mod, and I completely missed how the game checks for objective completion. This should be resolved now.

Basically a re-do of the custom tuning, making it much simpler thanks to @ravasheencc​‘s help

I can't be the only person with an aspiring author Sim that wants to isolate themselves off-the-grid in a cabin and write novels nonstop, write right? (Actually, I believe this is a Secret Simblr Wish over at @maxismatchccworld​, though I’d started working on this before I saw the request)

Colored in @serindipitysims​‘s The Historian Palette because it may have been the obvious choice, but it was also the right choice. (Plus two swatches that I was using while I was testing everything, because I'm partial to multiples of 5).

I'm really, really proud of how this typewriter came out! I edited the mesh from the base game Writer's Lore object, and then I went and re-textured about 90% of the darned thing. I even made a custom specular map for it! Let me know if you feel like it's still too shiny!

Limited Interactions for the Conservationist, Detective, Education, Gardener, Law, Military, Social Media, Style Influencer, Writer Careers (Essentially the same as the Freelance limitations - nothing that would obviously require internet)

Write Dollhouse Story, Practice Typing

Write Love Letter (changed from Write Love Email)

Write About Feelings (changed from Blog About Feelings)

Write Term Papers/Study for University Courses

You can put this typewriter in your inventory and drag it in live mode, but like a laptop, will only place on desks/dining tables.

What you can't do with this typewriter:

Essentially, anything that would only make sense with a screen or internet connection

Go on Vacation/Purchase Property

Bambino Bedroom Set

This set was actually supposed to be a part of @maxismatchccworld super secret wish list but it took a little longer than I wanted it to but better late than never. One of the wishes was for a nursery/toddler set that had a bed that looked like a crib and I was happy to take on this one because I’ve been meaning to do a nursery set for a while now. We all know our sim babies are practically objects so after making the nursery cc I had to include more for our toddlers and kids who can actually enjoy it. I know the holidays have passed but I added a little holiday gift in there for my followers. I got to say apart from the holiday bear the activity table and toddler high chair are my favorite in this set. Thank you guys for the love, I hope you enjoy it and have a happy new year.

Things to know:

The crib and co-sleeper do not have a foot print so they can be used by downloading Kiolometro’s crib mod from here which will turn EA’s crib invisible so you can place the baby anywhere.

The mattresses are separated from the crib so you have more choices in mixing colors.

The rocking chair is base game compatible and functional

The holiday bear and the wooden owl are functional toys

The bookcase is functional just click on it to get options

Winter Sports Framed Posters

Someone on @maxismatchccworld‘s SSS Wishlist wanted a hockey/Stanley Cup-themed wall deco, so I created a simple framed poster in a few colors and added in some other winter sports. 

BG recolor.

The Snowy Escape shots I found via Google, since I don’t have the pack myself, so credit there goes to EA/the simmers. The other two are sims I quickly created and dropped in a wintry Windenberg to figure skate.

The NoShelves version adds the logs and removes the shelves. It’s also slotted for small and medium decor!

There are three versions:

The FallPalette version has 21 fall-inspired colors, plus 4 grey scale swatches.

The SpringPalette version has 19 spring-inspired colors, plus 4 grey scale swatches.

The Combo version includes all the colors from both palettes, and the grey scale swatches, for a total of 43 swatches (one of the yellows is in both palettes).

They are all standalone pieces, so you can pick whichever ones you want to suit your organization/fashion/hard drive needs.

I saw someone ask for the Get Famous top with the headphones and lanyard to be cleaned up on the Super Secret Simblr Wishlist hosted by @maxismatchccworld and decided to try my hand at it!
