“Cumplane” is legit the ultimate ship name. First of all, it combines both of there names and makes a sex joke. Iconic. But second of all, it is a homophone to “complain” which is something they both do an awful a lot of.

So I know like in canon, we never learn Shang Qinghua’s name from when he was alive and it’s supposed to be like sad and stuff cause it doesn’t matter what his name was cause he was a nobody before transmigrating. Absolutely tragic, so much angst potential with that u know.

But personally, I have the head canon that his IRL name was Shang Qinghua. You know how Jane Austen named her most beautiful, smart, wonderful characters Jane? Well, maybe Shang Qinghua is the anti-Jane Austen. He just names a villain after himself cause he couldn’t think of anything else and thought he’d be funny. He’d definitely laugh to himself as he wrote himself to be a comedically evil villain.

He definitely was not laughing when transmigrated into his “evil-villain-self-insert” tho.
