3. on a scale of 1-10 how much do you enjoy incorporating romance into the average story?
It is so difficult to rate this because I actually LOVE ROMANCE SO MUCH AAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! OTL especially if it's a fluffy story or a soft yandere plot!! Writing romance is very fun because I adore imagining being lovey-dovey with my fictional favorites hehe. <3
19. what are some books or authors that influenced your style the most?
Definitely Alex Bell! I adore her work and can't recommend her enough. The way she writes horror is so masterful and leaves me at the edge of my seat. I've yet to read her most recent horror work (The Lighthouse), but I'm sure I'll enjoy it to pieces once I do!
Savage Island by Bryony Pearce is also another inspiration and influence of mine. That book is one of the few reads that has ever gutted me like a fish. The way Pearce describes injury and gore is almost tangible. It's the type of realistic that makes you recoil. Very amazing!!! I aspire to write horrifying descriptions in a way where it can have readers squirm uncomfortably.
The Goosebumps books are also very huge inspirations! I used to read them after exams when I was little. My favorite will always be Welcome to Camp Nightmare because of how wonderfully eerie the mystery is. The twist was also very good!
Additionally, there are lots of old fairytales and literature that have influenced my style! The Brothers Grimm are mostly to thank for their deliciously dark stories as is the musical artist Steampianist for making such atmospheric music that sets the tone perfectly whenever I write. <3
