@stabyouth asked: “ i’ve got a secret. ”
the pair are long past any taboos between them ... everything has been laid bare for the other to see, even if they’ve only been ‘ official ‘ for a few weeks now. that’s the thing about TWIN FLAMES ; nothing feels secret ; only undiscovered . she waits for his confession, not with bated breath, but an easy smile .
“ well ? don’t leave me hanging , what is it ?? “

‘ don’t you think that’s a little extreme ? i mean , i’m willing to meet you half way here , man ! ’
‘ but if you’re dead set on breaking the nose, a head-butt is the way to go. ’

❝ dunno ... knowin' my luck , i'd probably jus' break my own nose. besides , i haven't been in a REAL FIGHT since secondary school ────── i don' think i'd even know where t' start , now. you seem like you're real good at it , though ; break a lotta noses in your day , mate ? ❞

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐀𝐔𝐍𝐓 𝐃𝐎𝐄𝐒𝐍’𝐓 𝐆𝐎 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐄 & while it’s not the first time he’s heard it 【 𝓎𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓈 𝑜𝒻 𝒽𝒾𝑔𝒽 𝓈𝒸𝒽𝑜𝑜𝓁 𝒷𝓊𝓁𝓁𝒾𝑒𝓈 𝑒𝒸𝒽𝑜 𝓌𝒾𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓃 𝒽𝒾𝓈 𝓂𝒾𝓃𝒹 】, it doesn’t cause Dwight to give up immediately. instead, it pushes him his teammates need him & if he can keep Frank distracted long enough to get at least another generator done, then getting caught wouldn’t be in vain. he chances a glance over his shoulder, catching sight of the gleaming blade & the empty grin on the white mask closing in & Dwight has to think fast. frantic eyes focus back on the pallet ahead, situated between 2 large boulders 𝙷𝙴 𝙲𝙰𝙽 𝙼𝙰𝙺𝙴 𝙸𝚃 !
need for survival outweighs the pain in his lungs, the ache in his legs, the fear in his heart & with a burst of energy he’s able to make it to the pallet in time to stun Frank. ❝ i think i did. ❞ there’s a millisecond where Dwight stops surprised that he actually did it but he doesn’t linger. if he’s learned one thing in his rat - race life it’s this : never stick around if you’ve managed to one - up them.

Come to Canada, they said. It will be fun! Ontario is the next New York as far as business is concerned. BUT THE PLACE IS A SHITHOLE. Their idea of fine dining is sushi you could get off of any street corner at home without so much as a reservation-and the whore he picked up at the bar took him to some hick town. Ormond is even worse than Ontario. But, he supposes it’s his fault- he really should have known the bitch was a country bumpkin, but he was blinded by her nice dress and french tongue. (French always makes everyone seem more dignified- even whats-her-name). Patrick left her in a snow bank as he called for a car to take him back to his hotel. An hour wait was going to be rough in this weather, at this time of night. The only place he can see open at this hour is a greasy chain gas station being tended to by an equally greasy employee. Patrick hardly acknowledges his welcome as he steps inside, brushing the snow off his coat with his gloves. One of the teens who’d been smoking outside follow him in. He pays him no mind until he realizes the kid follows him into the coffee aisle, too. Patrick glances at him as he pours his coffee. (Folgers, he thinks. Or any other cheap-ass dogshit spitswill that probably only costs 5 cents a cup to produce, but they charge a buck fifty.) “ Do you MIND? ”
"hey mandy-" he shakes a bag of green right in front of her nose. he's already got a joint rolled and tucked behind his ear, nearly hidden among a mop of blonde. "you busy?"
She's already made up her mind that she's not going to think about violence for the rest of the night. She's been going cross-eyed staring at the same blueprints for hours on end, trying to get everything to line up just right, trying to get the timing down to the second. She hasn't made any progress on it for a while, and she knows she's not going to until she looks at it with fresh eyes in the morning.
Which leaves her stretched out on the couch, watching a YouTube video on her cellphone, when she's interrupted. Earbuds are yanked out, cord wrapped around her fingers to put away in a pocket; he has her full attention as she sits up with a smile. She can always count on Frank when she's looking for a distraction.
"I've got some time to kill."
@stabyouth requested: michael (dragging) frank !
He exists now, in a consciousness clouded by physical and mental exhaustion. The place to which he was summoned draws energy from his body, leeching away at strength and replacing it only with the will to do what the place demands. Kill. Extinguish life. Michael had, before entering the endless fog, nearly never grown tired. The Shape possessed the time to rest.
Time is not come by easily here.
The figure, on his back registers the fire feet away, the rustlings of the trees and leaves surrounding him, but most of all...his own breathing. It echoes, colliding with his ears within the confines of his mask.
Suddenly, a touch. A sensation of pulling. Something has grabbed the top of the figure’s mask. Again.
With only a moments hesitation, The Shape allowing himself another pause of peace, a hand grabs and finds what he expects to find. A wrist. He sits up slowly, posture as unwavering as his grip, and turns to face the disturbance.
Enough.
No pleas, assistance from the other creatures who aid this one, will save the boy.
A violent tug, pulling the offender close as he stands to his full height. The figure’s other hand is free to strike, grabbing the boy’s hair. Michael tugs at his scalp, beginning to drag him away from the fire and into the darkness.
