The RP with Stag, Ink and Whiskey in the house was a really fun RP! Stag is such a chill character who isn’t phased by much of anything, so it was really interesting to see him panicking like that for a change. 

✨ initial thoughts / opinions

Wildsong is such a sweet guy. I love reading his inner thoughts and how he tries so hard to fit in even though he usually ends up messing it up a little bit. Him unblinkingly staring down Whiskey while trying to make polite eye contact? Love that. He keeps trying despite his anxiety and I admire his persistence. <3 I hope that as he develops more relationships with his clanmates he can gain a little confidence and feel more comfortable around others. He deserves it!

When I think “favorite Stagclaw quote,” my mind immediately jumps to Stagclaw’s infamous wolf story, because that whole scene was really really beautifully crafted and is just very iconic in general!!

But then I thought. And I thought some more. And I realized: “Wait a sec. There’s actually a Stagclaw quote that hit me way harder than even that.”

I actually screenshotted it right after I first read it, which is a testament to how much I liked it.

I know Stagclaw aimed this at Inkpool, but it honestly made me really emotional too. My eyes got all watery. It’s just such a beautiful message. You’re a really great writer, Rufus <3

🌸 Best Relationship Dynamics:

I desperately want Ink and Stag to be good buddies!!! They just have so much in common!!! Kindred spirits!! It was so nice to watch them start opening up to each other, and so crushing to watch them have their little... whatever that was, the other day. I don’t know what I would call it, I just know it gave me Sadness Disease ;_;

The thing about Ink is that she’s very all or nothing about... well, almost everything in life. You’re either her BFF— someone she’d go to absolutely any lengths for— or just a mere acquaintance. Stag is somewhere in between that right now, which confuses her a lot, so she isn’t really at the point where she’d outright call him a friend. But she will get to that point. She will. I’m manifesting it. They’ve just gotta discuss their Murder Trauma first

BUT back to Stag, because he’s supposed to be the focus of this: I love Stag and Glass!!! He’s the father figure she really deserves!!! Moon and Stag is super adorable too!!! The grandpa she deserves!!!

As for MountainClan, Stag and Mintthroat had a cool thing going at the Gathering!! I’d also really like to see Stag have a chat with Icekit or Larchfur, for... very different reasons shakjsjs Stag would LOVE Icey, but I think he’d have a stern word or two for Larch

Honestly, part of me hopes that Stag and Wolf will get together, but. If that ever happens, it’s probably a bit far off skshsjskkaa

Well. Since Stag’s name is already pretty MountainClan-sounding, why don’t we do a little Daylight Warrior AU?

I think someone mentioned somewhere that Bear would be a good kittypet name for him? But I’m aiming for something really out there, so let’s try... hmm...

Oh my gosh. What about something like Titan? They’re big, they’re powerful, and they’re figures from stories, which Stag loves to tell. Sounds perfect to me! I can’t really see his suffix being much different though, so let’s keep it.

So there you have it: Titanclaw!

☀️ Ideal Friendships:

Well, I don’t know Archkit super well yet, but I do think he’s very precious and deserves lots of friends!!!

He and Moonkit would make a super cute duo!! With the way she tends to adopt people into her family with 0 hesitation, on top of her missing her bio brother, would probably spur her to take Archkit under her wing, and I can see her leading the little guy into all sorts of mischief!!

Glass would be a good one too!! And Stag!! They’re both very good with kits and very parental, so I bet they’d take a shine to him real quick

Also, this one’s a bit out there, but consider: Archkit and Wildsong! I think I remember hearing that they look very similar, so that’s pretty cool, but there’s also the fact that Arch really likes feathers and Wild really likes birds. Wild can help Arch find all the nice feathers his little heart desires :)

I also kinda want Ink to mentor him, but that might just be my Inkpool bias shining through—
