I saw Macbeth tonight, as acted by David Tennant. He was absolutely hypnotic, I mean, fair play, I could watch that man read the dictionary and be enthralled, but even so!

I didn't really know anything about 'The Scottish Play' going in, and I'm sure most of it probably went completely over my head, but it was a hell of an experience, and I'm so happy I went. 👑🗡🧙🏻‍♀️🧙🏻‍♀️🧙🏻‍♀️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Thinking over the music shows of last week, there's another performance I wanted to talk about. It's a performance I found pleasantly surprising, so I thought I'd talk about it today to see what everyone else thinks! Today let's take a look at...

Stage on Screen

About time I did this thing, right? I've been trying to get to this post for a while but I've had all this junk going on and *Sigh* Aaaaaanyhoodle, let's get to some stage performances! So it feels like this week has been packed with new performance debuts. Sexy co-ed duo Trouble Maker is making the rounds, girl group TINT's bubbly song made its appearance and more low key artists the likes of Untouchable and Yoo Seong Eun are back on stage again. And that's not even mentioning other vet kpop groups, solos and special stages. It's a kpop explosion! Despite all thus hubbub, it's a group that's on their third or fourth week of promotions that I want to bring to the forefront today. Today let's take a look at...

...reminded me of EXO's Mama

...has the same sort of visual concept as Mama, so if you liked Mama you might like Run & Run

...was a bit more refined than Mama

Point made, moving on before I start walking in circles. N-Sonic has clearly worked their butts off in preparation for their comeback and their effort shows. All of their moves are powerful and strong and the members move between their individual shots and their group pieces very fluidly. The vocals also sound great, but in saying that I can never tell who lip-syncs and who doesn't so maybe they just have a great backing track. I also think that whoever designed this stage was not only creative but also very smart. I often get bugged when groups are all synchronised until one member stands still and acts all emotional because they can't move around while they sing their part. Thankfully this performance is designed so the singing member moves minimally, but also while being supported by his group members, thus keeping the stage in motion around him and allowing his voice to remain strong. Clever, no? So, before I go off on a ramble about sparkly clothes and spinning windmill arms that make my arms seem super uncoordinated, I sign off by adding that not only do I find N-Sonic's stage fun and enjoyable to watch, but I also have a lot of admiration for the careful thought that has gone into organising how it plays out. I think it says a lot when I don't really like the song, but I never want to skip through the performance. I give this performance a...

New Series

That's right, I'm back to introduce another segment! As with the 30 Day Kpop Challenge and the Teaser to Watch segments, this new segment is something simple I've cooked up to fill in space when I'm away and don't have the time to write up one of the main three types of posts. It will be updated whenever I find something I want to talk about, and won't have a strict schedule I will adhere to. So what is this new segment? Well, it's going to be called Stage on Screen and I will be posting the first post next week. Basically, this post will be like a mini review of a live stage comeback or debut that I've been anticipating, outlining my general impression of the performance and where it held up to my expectations or let me down. As always, I am open to suggestions, so if you have a stage you'd like me to review please let me know and I'll take a look!
