– it was official;; those brothers must be up to something shifty.
Why else would they come and ask him out on the same day, not
even a full hour apart from each other? Was this some kind of
dare? A mere joke between one skeleton and his younger relative?
… although, Mettaton must say that Papyrus ’ invitation has had
a lot more charme than that of his shorter rival in love in this matter.
It even drew a faint blush out on his cheeks from being wooed in
such a genuine manner. The arm full of sharpie had sold him. There
was just one little problem, and it wasn’t being told he looked horrible.
“I am delighted that the great Papyrus personally sought me out
to ask me on a date, but I’m afraid must ask you something first.
Are you aware that you just missed your big brother requesting
the very same thing for tonight? Are you … pranking me?“
-”Him too?” Of course–Papyrus rages under the veil of a slightly approachable expression he dons only for this occasion, and only because he knows Sans well enough to realize that even though his brother had beaten him to the punchline, it was out of haste and thus, a sloppy attempt at best to screw him over. Why else would his brother poke and prod him relentlessly into asking this hunk of metal out if Sans was just going to slip ahead of him before he’d worked up the nerve (not to mention the cramp in his arm garnered from scribbling all those possible scenarios on his glove until he was thoroughly prepared ) ? Though “why” isn’t going to prove much of a concern to him in the grand scheme of this annoying altercation. Mostly since that twerp is going to be dust when Papyrus finds him.-
Seems you’re on the fritz more than you thought, bot. Because the only “too” you should concern yourself with–are “me” and “you”. -Irritating as this situation is proving, the Great and Terrible Papyrus is not about to let a fool like Sans sabotage his proposal. Not when it’s been brewing in him for a while now, and has reached a flavor far richer than any afterthought his brother could have used on wooing the wary-eyed Mettaton.- “Us”, if you’re so inclined. Because you have quite a few I'd like to solve the m for--what is this NERD shit? -Hissing sharply under his breath, Papyrus shrugs at the blunder only for his shoulder spines to click nervously together.- You know, it's not easy for me to find a break in my schedule, so accompanying me is a worthwhile endeavor.
-His talons make small talk with the air, flexing with the cool confidence that comes with having cheat-notes on one’s arm. Cheat-notes that are far more visible to his company than he seems to be aware of. Because that's certainly not the reason why his face drains into the blood-stained side of the color spectrum. No, that's a phenomena more privy to the fact that the robot has no qualms with mentioning just who had swung by first. Leave it to his "big" brother to purposefully make everything he sought feel like hand-me-downs all over again. Still, he tries his best to keep a lid on the tantrum threatening to boil over.- Did he now? Well, it seems my "big brother" has conveniently forgotten he's on sentry-duty tonight...starting now. -Balling his fist, at even the suggestion he'd stoop to such a tasteless level, Papyrus huffs.- IT'S NOT A JOKE! I WAS GOING TO ASK YOU FIRST! -Although, it might have taken a few more years, scheduling-to-nerve-ratio-wise.-
