Stains, le collège Pablo Néruda.
remembering how dazai sewed a joke label into chuuya's coat after the lovecraft fight and thinking about a headcanon that he picked up sewing as an excuse to keep chuuya's old hoodies when they were 15. chuuya would get rips in them and toss them out, but dazai would offer to sew them good as new, and chuuya didn't trust him not to sew gaudy patches or mismatched neon-colored threads where the holes are.
he calls dazai a freak for being so interested in sewing his hoodie, especially when dazai shows no concern in taking care of his OWN clothes. any time he gets blood or dirt on him or gets covered in seawater, he just tosses his suits out and gets new ones.
and dazai does mend the hoodie, but he keeps it tucked away in the shipping container. maybe chuuya wants it back one day, who knows? but if chuuya asked, dazai would say the hoodie was a lost cause and had to be tossed after all.
it's quickly of no use to dazai when he goes through a growth spurt, but it's still one of the few possessions that can be found around if one looks. and that's something they both have in common: scarce possessions in their living quarters and the irony that chuuya was ready to toss out his ripped hoodie the same way dazai readily discards his clothes, but dazai fixes chuuya's things in secret for him
then, of course, uses his power to sew for pranking chuuya when they're older
I have no idea where this mystery stain on my shirt came from or why it's perfectly symmetrical. Presumably it got pinched in something? But what?? I wouldn't have worn a white shirt to paint or dye anything, and it's survived two washes.
This is what I returned Home to get if anybody was curious it is a Family Heirloom please ignore the Stains.
