(Dark n X from this)
X stared at the green hair falling over his eyes as he lazily sat on the couch. It had been a few days since his song had taken place, and as good as he felt at the time, he knew it was a bad sign. A bad sign that confirmed his suspicions regarding the situation over the past few months. All of the switched were unwillingly gaining attributes of those that they were meant to take the role of. For him, that meant he was taking the place of TSSG. It started with the shifting between dimensions… or maybe it started with his accent? Or his shirt? Did that even count? He wasn’t really sure. It was the most obvious when he started switching between dimensions unwillingly. I mean, of course it would be. It wasn’t easy to ignore randomly popping up in a completely unfamiliar plane of existence. The Sides’ dimension wasn’t bad, don’t get him wrong, the others had welcomed him like family and everything came pretty easily when you were in a white void that could conjure up anything the Sides thought of, but it was a little inconvenient to be randomly displaced whenever the universe decided to have it happen. There was also the fact that it meant they were getting further from normal and this was not his home. The higher frequency of the visits and the longer durations were concerning as well. He didn’t like the implications. At least he had a physical form to himself here.
He heard Dark walk by but didn’t pay him too much mind until he sat down on the couch next to him.
“You good?” Dark asked wholeheartedly, noticing the other’s look of deep thought.
“Yeah, just thinking about stuff…” X almost slipped into an American accent, but caught himself. Just another perk of his situation.
“…Anything specific, or?”
“A bit more in general.” He looked up at the green tuft of hair falling over his eyes, “And this, I guess.” He motioned to it.
“For what its worth, it looks good on you.” Dark chuckled. “And the song it went with was pretty amazing.”
X smiled slightly, “Thanks. It was a fun experience.”
Dark could sense the ‘but’ that this was sure to be followed by.
“However I can’t help but worry as more stuff like this happens… I don’t want to replace your friend.”
“Dude, no one thinks it’s your fault, or even anything close. Don’t worry, we want Sarah back as much as you want… well you, and your friends back. Not that we don’t love having you here, but everyone wants things to be back to normal.”
“I know, I just can’t help but think about it.”
“We got you man, we’ll get things back to normal. And if we don’t, Hannah or Sarah or one of them will figure it out. I know we will.”
“Thanks man.”
“Of course. And watch your accent bro, wouldn’t want you to accidentally become American!” Dark said with a smile as Xisuma faded back into nothing and was sent back to the server, feeling a bit more hopeful than before.
