Inktober #8 - Stan, Detar and Caric (original characters) Markers, some pigment liner and gelly roll pen. ~photo version and character talk below~

Detar’s face was smudged, so I fixed that digitally in the scanned version. Also, instead of having every single marker I used on the photo, I decided to just put one of each brand instead.

These are my old Lufia OCs from 2001.  Stan is Maxim's descendant. Detar is Dekar's descendant and was a security guard at the casino before he was fired. He joins Stan’s journey since he has nothing better to do when he became jobless. He’s also Stan’s best friend.  Caric is a traveling merchant elf.

Long, long ago, Caric basically looked like a Artea recolor (based on his artwork - not his ingame sprite). And Detar used to look like a Dekar clone in modern clothes Detar’s name is a combination of “Dekar” and “Two” and I originally wanted to rename him when he was still a Dekar clone, but decided to leave his name as is after discovering  it was a variant of a German name which means "Warrior of the people”

Detar has definitely changed the most out of these three characters,.

Stan used to have long hair in 2001.

Caric hasn’t changed that much, other than getting his hair cut early on and having a new outfit in 2014..

A sketch of Stan I did in Procreate on my iPad Mini, while my Samsung Tab S7 was busy downloading brushes for Clip Studio Paint.

Finally got around to downloading the brushes again after accidentally deleting the app in May. This sketch took 30 minutes, mainly because I forgot what Stan looked like. He’s a Lufia oc and one of Maxim’s descendants. His last name Curtis is borrowed from Cion from the canceled Lufia III, who is most likely a descendant of Maxim as well)
