She studied sculpture at Moseley School of Art in Birmingham
She worked at a department store as a window dresser
She played in a band called Chicken Shack with Andy Sylvester Stan Webb
She won Melody Maker awards for best female vocalist in 1969 and 1970
She eventually married bassist John McVie of FleetwoodMac and the rest is history
