I'm not sure about the financial situation, but I do know that Michelle Borth from Hawaii Five-0 was on the show sporadically for four seasons, then kicked off, and basically told she was only there for the four seasons bc they had plans from the beginning to make her leave so Alex O'Loughlin's character would have to deal with it (they were love interests.) Fans treated her like shit when she left too. All these people that say these nasty things to these women seem to be forgetting that this-
-isn't just a thing where they're leaving for an episode, they're literally leaving or having to leave their jobs, their (usual) main source of income. CBS is trash all around and I'm honestly scared to see what happens with Supergirl lmao
I was so excited for supergirl until i saw the CBS logo and my heart sank. I mean, i’m sure it’ll still be good but i’ll always be waiting for the other shoe to drop.
and also, I know in some way Melina Kanakaredes was screwed over by CBS in CSI:NY, and somebody left tags on my post saying that Emanuelle Vaugier had been too (same show), which i’d not heard before.
Literally every time you mention CBS screwing women over in a TV show you’ll get somebody add a comment mentioning somebody else, on another show, who got the same treatment.
I had no idea about this Hawaii Five-0 stuff until just now.
The bottom line is that they’re real people, and i don’t really get how anyone could not see this as awful, for all reasons listed.
