somehow , he , and kugisaki have chipped at your steeled exterior ; the one thing you use to protect yourself from the hurt that the world offers , inflicts upon those merely living . 𝐴 𝑆𝐻𝐼𝐸𝐿𝐷 𝐹𝑂𝑅 𝑇𝐻𝐸 𝑆𝑂𝑈𝐿 , not as impenetrable as you'd hoped. yet , where you're known to 𝐩𝐮𝐬𝐡 away , building barriers and demanding boundaries ; you 've softened , letting them into your walls , trusted and now protected , your soul would grow restless if harm came to them [ ... ] you won't let it happen again .
still , when pink tufts fall to your shoulder ; dozing while the scenery ( trees , saddled between homes ) passes by. you nudge him ; a bump of the shoulder to break the boy from sleep. at least make him stir , the regret of splitting dreams digs under your skin . ❛ are you not sleeping at night ? ❜ the worry flush against the even tone , unwillingly showing the concern you hold in your hands.
