One of the most amazing clips from the huge 2018 eruption of Kilauea volcano - the lava moving in this channel is flying by at nearly highway speeds and the combination of flow and topography of the channel has produced a standing wave, like you might see in a river.

It's been 12 months since I recorded this video on Leilani Blvd. June 15th 2018. It amazes me that I still see it shared almost daily somewhere. Sure was an amazing sight to see.
