So I want to share this with all my dog owner, and possibly cat owning friends. My dog had a wonderful encounter with a skunk again in our back yard at 4 o'clock this morning 😪 and she's had a worse encounter a few years ago. This remedy works (for us) incredibly well both times. The first time Sadie bit the skunk on the ass and literally got sprayed in the mouth, not much you can do for that one but I suggest you endure your dog to vomit, and I'm sorry it way worse if a smell that time but you gotta do it. Then the skunk sprayed her in the side of the face within a 1 inch shooting range 🤢 This time she didn't directly get hit, she charged the skunk, but it once in the head and ran for the door cause I think she knew what was coming. There was definitely some stank that stuck to her though. What I do is grab a mixing bowl and dump the whole bottle of peroxide in it then mix about 2 table spoons of baking soda and a squirt of dawn dish soap and mix it all together. I use a sponge on my dog cause I can get a better lather that way then a cloth. Then just give your dog a bath! The first time she was sprayed we did this treatment once more a few days after just to help lift any residuals but it almost all came out of her the first time. This time it came right out. AND, no one and work could even smell that billy and I had been dealing with it so that's a major plus. So what I suggest to you is that you keep these supplies handy, I'm going out today to buy more peroxide to stock up on. #skunk #skunkremedy #skunksmell #mydogsbeenskunked #skunked #stanknasty *photo is not mine
