💖 What made you start writing?

Hi, Ash!

I'm laughing at myself because I thought I answered something like this before. Naturally I can't find it.

I have four siblings and I was always a bit different. They were into sports while I enjoyed reading, singing, musical theater, dancing, and cheerleading (dance and cheerleading are sports, but not the "typical" sports that my siblings did). I always had a book in my hand growing up. I loved the worlds that people built. I wanted to tell my stories, too.

I had written now and then growing up, but Covid was when I made the Tumblr plunge. My hours were briefly cut at work, things were crazy, and I needed an outlet. Writing is something that separates me from being a wife, mother, and worker. It has helped me made friends and build a community here.

And I'm so glad I took a chance.

This just barely showed up on my dashboard. It’s been a few days but…trick or treat? 🥹

My random number generator declares you get a .....drabble!

The day was lovely. The crisp autumn air gathered gradient of foliage off the trees and carried them away. You and Bucky strolled to the corner store under the canopy of reds, and yellows that even the grey overcast sky couldn’t dampen. It was lovely until… it began to pour. You both run to the take cover under a sheltered bus stop. The wind picks up, and you shiver. You are just damp enough to feel the cold. Bucky pulls you into his side, hands rubbing up and down your arm. You wrap your arms around him, leaning into his warmth. “Better?” he asks as you stop shivering. “My face is still cold,” you pout. The next thing you know, his lips are pressed against your forehead and then he’s peppering kisses all over your face that has you giggling. Finally, he meets your lips, warm and welcoming. He smiles into the kiss as you deepen it, ever drawn into his orbit.

Would you rather sing your favorite song in front of a sold-out arena crowd or in front of the original artist alone?

Um... okay thats hard.

Because I can't bear the thought that if I sing in a sold-out arena, there might be someone in the crowd who would recognise me 😟

Also what if someone passes out or their ears bleed after listening to me sing!!!!

No way.

I'd rather be embarrassed for life and sing it in front of the original artist.

And then maybe I'd go live my days on a farm as a cow because of the humiliation!?!?!?!

What is one piece of writing you’re proud of?

Is there a fic (or part of one) you wish you had done better?

Oohh thank you for the questions- these are really good!

What is one piece of writing you’re proud of?

I think The Day Before is still the one I'm really happy with, despite how angsty and sad that fic is. It was a challenge to write and forced me occupy an emotional space that I wasn't familiar or comfortable with but it was super worth it!

Is there a fic (or part of one) you wish you had done better?

In Opulent Delights, there is a thread where Reader's inhibition is peeled away in layers and I wish I had incorporated that idea in a stronger way. It's quite clunky and inconsistent the way that thread shows up.

Granted, this was very much a "how many orgasms can I fit into a fic?" story but there were several opportunities to shed more light on the emotional landscape of their relationship which I wish I had done.
