Compound V & Payback Press Conference:
Episode 3 Plot Drop
Compound V was now public information. Superheroes being manufactured was no public information. Vought’s stock price was in a free fall. There were some things that the public was not entitled to know and the existence of Compound V was one of them. It was the secret to Vought’s success for so long. While many saw them as a Superhero company, they were very much a pharmaceutical company. Madelyn, and Ashley had always seemed to make Vought’s main interest seem to be heroes. Getting supers into the military. Stan and other high ranking members of the board had their own agenda with Compound V however, and now that it was public knowledge those plans were derailed.
Vought needed to take swift action if they were to save face, and prevent a complete collapse. Where many of his fellow executives were skittering about the room, nervous...anxious....worried over the future of Vought and what they were going to be doing from this point forward to save public face Stan was simply sitting behind his desk, eyes glued onto the picture of the supe terrorist, pen in hand. They were laying out plans to possibly deny it all, high risk yet high reward. The other option, mea culpa, through Vought’s own fault has this happened. Stan however so a middle path, where they could both deny, but also take responsibility. Once again, Stan would calmly steer Vought towards the most profitable scenario.
“Let me start this press conference by wishing everyone who was affected by Compound V and this scandal mine, and Vought’s thoughts and prayers. This is an absolute travesty, and it never should have happened. Much like the rest of the world, I was under the assumption that Superheros were born. Compound V spawned from disillusioned scientists, and former Vought Vice President Madelyn Stillwell, and former Chief Science Officer Jonah Vogelbaum. I promise Vought is conducting a full internal investigation into this matter, and we will find all other guilty parties that exist within Vought. Again, I want to reiterate, I had no knowledge of this happening, and I want to offer my full and personal condolences to everyone affected by this. However, we also saw today that regardless of how America and the world has supes, we need them more than ever.
Today we saw the takedown of a super terrorist who threaten the safety of everyone in the United States, and by extension the world. We do not know how many other super terrorists are out running around the world. The only people who can defeat super terrorist has been proven to be Vought’s superheroes. I want to thank the Seven for all they have done and are doing to defend the world, but there is also another team that deserves praise....Payback. They have been working hand in hand with the Pentagon, and Department of Defense to secure the nation from any and all terrorist activity. If we have anyone to thank it is Payback, under the incredible leadership of Soldier Boy himself. That is why today, I am proud to announce that going forward whenever it is a matter of national security Vought will be turning to Payback to help defend America. Soldier Boy, just like he did in the 1940s against the darkest forces the world has ever seen, will be leading his squad to help protect, defend, and serve the United States, and to uphold freedom, and democracy across the world.”
