Fall was her most favorite season and with each day she could feel it drawing closer. Some said September marked the beginning, other's insisted that October and November had to arrive and play out for one to truly feel the season. Anne would take as much of the season as she could. Already her arms were filled with items for the season ahead, from a new trowel for her garden to small decorative items, and a whole bunch of candles that she was just managing to juggle.

And just then it all began to topple. "Oh, Yoba!" The brunette called out, trying her very best to catch whatever was slipping before half landed on the pavement. Perhaps she should have grabbed a basket. Or brought one. "Oh goodness. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to spill the entire fall collection on you." Perhaps the farmer was a little bit too excited. "Coffee? Surely coffee can make up for it. Well, after I buy these." A slender finger moved to point at the items.

Taking in a deep breath, Isabel inhaled the scents swirling around her, appreciating what seemed to be the official beginning of the fall season. Since childhood Isabel had loved holidays of all shapes and sizes, and she certainly didn't discriminate between them. Though, this year, she'd managed to get woefully behind on her personal planning and decorating, leading her to the shopping spree she'd just completed.

She'd just been making her way out of the hustle and bustle when she spotted another nearby, clearly struggling to carry what she'd picked. Making her way over, Isabel realized she hadn't made it in time when the other's items began dropping one by one to the ground. Bending to help, she collected several of the items in her own arms, righting herself as she gave the other a smile. "Hey, no worries, it happens! I'm super excited about the season myself!" Laughing, she gave a nod. "You know, normally I'd say no worries but, I just don't know if I can turn down a free coffee at this current juncture. But, only if you agree that I'm buying us pastries."

Marion had a small fire going on the shore of the beach. A lush red bikini dawning her form with the latest love novel resting in her lap and a discarded half eaten smore on the side of her as she read. "You may join me. If you want." She mused glancing up from her pages, "I promise I don't bite." She closed the cover of her book after dog earring her latest page. "And besides, I'm a bit starved for company."

In all honesty the beach wasn't somewhere Stanley found himself frequenting. Often, he found going was more hassle than it was worth, especially when it came to cleaning the sand from what seemed like every crack and crevice of himself and his things. Tonight, though, seemed to prove to be different and he found himself approaching another. Stepping up to the fire he gave a nod before slowly lowering himself, grimacing all the way down. "Thank you for the invitation. Truthfully I wouldn't mind some company myself. I find I'm almost always starved for that, these days at least." Shrugging, he offered a hand. "I'm Stanley Uris, but you're welcome to call me Stan. I'm an accountant in town."

Sighing, Stanley lowered himself onto an empty bench facing the busier part of town. People watching had long been an interest of his, next only of course to bird watching. People were interesting, even if he didn't always know how to interact with them well. Glancing around he watched as others went about their lives, observing them from afar. When another approached and took a seat opposite him Stan turned, offering a curt nod. After a few moments of silence he spoke. "I enjoy coming here during my lunch hour, just to watch. People do funny things, when they think no one is watching. Have you ever noticed that?"

After removing her shoes Wendy stepped out onto the beach, allowing her toes to sink into the sand as she made her way towards she shoreline. Taking in a deep breath, she allowed the salty air to fill her lungs, enjoying the weather and the beauty of the scene before her. The beach was a place Wendy loved more than she could say, and coming here always made her feel just a little better about life. Drawn from her thoughts by an approaching figure, she gave a nod and a small smile. "I hope I'm not disturbing you, I'll try to keep to my own little area here. I'm just...Decompressing, it has been quite the day."

Shifting his weight on the stool at the restaurant's counter, Johnny waited patiently for his burger and fries to be served. Glancing around, he took in the décor surrounding him, appreciating the quaintness of the establishment. Really, it reminded him of home. And while part of him was grateful for that, part of him was left feeling even more empty without his gang, or the only town he'd ever really known. Hearing another enter the establishment he turned, raising a hand to the newcomer. "I hear their burger of the day is supposed to be pretty tasty. That's what I'm waiting on now. You're welcome to have a seat, if you'd like."

Stepping into the concessions line, Isabel busied herself with digging her wallet from her purse. Lost in thought not only about her upcoming movie, but about the stress of the day itself, she didn't realize she'd dropped her movie ticket. After taking a step forward and glancing down at her now-empty hand, a small bit of panic began to rise in her throat, as she turned this way and that, attempting to locate the lost ticket.

Giving his drink a slow swirl, Mark took a sip of his now watered-down whiskey, grimacing a bit before replacing his class on the bar top. Sighing, he glanced around in search of any familiar face- after all, it was his personal motto that no one should drink alone. Especially not him, and especially not when the day had been as difficult as it had, with memories of all he'd survived flooding his mind and overtaking his senses more than once. "Hey, come here often?" He asked, finally breaking the silence surrounding him as he turned to the person on the stool next to him. "That probably came off terribly...Don't think I'm trying to pick you up or anything. Not that I wouldn't, I'm not saying....Wow, I'm batting zero here, don't you think?" Laughing, he felt a slight blush creep up his cheeks. "Let's try this again. How's your night going?"

Sighing, Mark took a sip of his coke before grabbing a french fry from his plate, dragging it through the pool of ketchup he'd made before popping it into his mouth. Taking a glance out the window, he saw a figure he thought he recognized, and soon enough received confirmation when the very same walked themselves into the diner. Raising a hand, Mark flagged them down, gesturing to the empty seat in the booth across form him. "Hey, good to see ya!" He greeted, offering a small smile. "It's been a while. If you aren't meeting anyone, feel free to hang with me. I'd love to catch up."

Nose buried in the cover of a book, Frannie did her best to read and walk while simultaneously balancing the other three selections she was carrying. Reading had always been one of her most favorite pastimes, something she'd carried from her childhood into adulthood. And, while she was nowhere near her goal, her ultimate dream was to have a fully-catalogued in-home library. Until that day, though, she made good and frequent use of her library card. Stepping out of an aisle, she was just about to turn towards the checkout desk when she found herself colliding with another, books flying as she grabbed a shelf to maintain her balance. "Wow, I am so sorry!" She exclaimed, scrambling to collect her lost items. "That was my fault entirely, I hope you aren't hurt. I guess you know what they say- keeping your nose in a book isn't dangerous...Usually."

Waving a last goodbye to the receptionists still inside the building, Frannie turned to head to her car in the parking lot, colliding directly into another. "Oh, my gosh!" She exclaimed, holding out her hands to steady herself. "I'm so sorry! I swear, me and my two left feet can't go anywhere these days." Laughing, she gave her head a shake. "I'm Dr. Fabray, the vet here. Is there anything I can help you with? Or, were you just passing by when I so rudely interrupted?"

"Or something..." Aiden groaned slightly, his palm digging into his eyes as he rubbed sleep from it. "Just a lot of." He paused for a moment trying to think the best way to phrase his nightly ghostly escapades. "late night work calls, they don't really take or care much for my nightly schedule.. but it's working out---sort of.."

Nodding, Johnny cocked an eyebrow inquisitively, considering how he might continue digging into the root of what was really going on- at least, what he suspected. "Ah, yes, that was very convincing." He replied, a mock seriousness on his face. "It's working out, sort of, even though they really don't care about your schedule. Sounds like the perfect placement to me." Chuckling a bit he shook his head before continuing. "So, you want to tell me what the real issue is, or are we going to keep this up?"

"Yeah, heart attack..." Keyleth nervously scratched the back of her head, "You know, I should probably, honestly, totally consider that." She let out a nervous huff, "Nice to meet you Stanley.. and again sorry, not trying to scare people just trying to make a fun impression."

Nodding, Stan offered a small smile in an attempt to ease the awkwardness of the situation. Truly, he didn't want the other to feel poorly. Really, he didn't want anyone to feel poorly, even more so for something he'd been involved in. "Really, it's alright. Don't worry about it." Glancing around, he slid his hands into his pockets before continuing. "So, other than scaring the daylights out of people, what are you up to today? Or, was that just your whole plan?" His eyes glimmered with a rare humor, one he hoped Keyleth would pick up on.

Keyleth chased after the other person. "I'm sorry, I thought it would be a funny haha moment, not a sad Ahhh moment." Keyleth had wild shaped into her favored Saber Toothed Form and jumped out to surprise them. Shifting back to human mid form and yelling surprise. It surprisingly (or unsurprisingly if she had put more then a couple seconds into the idea) did not work out well in her favor. She stopped chasing the other and turned on her heels. "Oh, hey, I'm Keyleth... not a saber tooth tiger, just thought it would be a funny joke... now i'm realizing why I don't have many friends." She scratched the side of brushed out wild mane of hair. "Anyways, how's your day?"

Seeing the tiger had been a truly terrifying experience- one of the first Stan could remember having, since coming to Ivy Cove, at least. Second only to the moment when he'd regained his memories, fear had flooded every inch of his being, and in turn he'd done what he'd always seemed to do when faced with danger, save one brave time....He ran. He'd almost made it down the street, too, by the time the words of the other caught up to his senses. Stopping, he turned slowly, chest heaving as he did his best to regain his composure. "I....I thought you were-" Stopping short Stanley gave a shake of his head before running his palms over his shirt's front, a way to smooth out any already non-existent wrinkles that may have formed during the chase. "That's quite alright, though you ought not go scaring people that way. Someone could have a heart attack." Pausing, he ran his eyes over the individual before him. "I don't have any friends either. I did. I used to. But they're...." His sentence trailed and dropped, eyes following suit. "Anyway, Keyleth, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Stanley. Stanley Uris."

Observing, sometimes in the shadows and other times plain out in the open. There was no better way to hide than where no one would expect a hidden being to lurk. And Irene wasn't even bothering to do just that, instead finding herself observing without bothering to hide. Eyes that drifted, ever moving but taking in the details as the hint of a smirk crept onto her lips and then finally settled.

"You look like you've got more questions than answers." Her memories had returned what felt like forever ago, leaving her in a place less than desirable. Ivy Cove wasn't her home, it never would have been. It wasn't London. But it served the purpose of a fresh start as she had yet to see a familiar face. "When there's a question, just ask. You'd be surprised how much one could gain from simply wondering out loud. Ask and you shall receive!" Well, whether there'd be an answer was yet to be seen.

Since regaining his memories, Johnny had been dealing with a whirlwind of emotions, none of which he found to be pleasant. Suddenly he found himself alone- more alone than he could ever remember being- surrounded by nothing and no one familiar, doing everything he could to survive. At least that part wasn't new, at least some things never changed, no matter the circumstances.

A nearby voice roused him from his thoughts, and once he 'd finally wrapped his mind around what was being said, he very nearly laughed. "Listen lady," he began, turning to face the other head-on despite a seeming inability to meet her eyes directly. "I ain't real sure what you're on about, but where I come from askin' questions ain't a good thing. I learned a long time ago to just....Mind my business." As he spoke, the fingers of his left hand found the scar which nearly covered his left cheek. Lingering there for a moment he sighed before dropping his hand. "Some shit's just better left alone, ya know?"

“it wasn’t a recent murder. the green marbling of the skin protruding around the veins indicates the body had been there for weeks. his body temperature dropped significantly, and his jacket was damp, but not dripping wet. the last time it rained was approximately 20 days ago according to the remarks of the farmer from the beginning. the only question that remains is why no one reported her missing. but it would be hard to report her missing if she faked her own death and disappeared months before.” rambled before eating a chip, watching the crime show on the television in the restaurant with disdain. “highly improbable in real life. death certificates can be so difficult to forge unless you have relatives working in government…which is quite useful, actually, when it’s not annoying.” sherlock turned to the other and waved his hand dismissively. “you would have been disappointed with the ending anyways. the brother did it, obviously.”

Doing her best to tune out the noise flooding around her, Isabel sat sideways in the diner booth, back pressed to the window as she nursed a fizzing glass of coke, scouring over paperwork divvied between several different folders, all of which were spread across the otherwise empty table. Mind racing, she worked to maintain concentration, though she found doing so rather difficult when one voice- sat directly to her right, mind you- continued to prattle on about something-or-other. With a sigh she looked up, meeting the eyes of the speaker and doing her best to orient herself to...Whatever it was they were talking about. Raising her eyebrows Isabel cocked her head slightly. "Ooookayyyyy..." She started, attention turning to the nearby television screen before refocusing on the other. "Ah, the show. Wow. That's pretty good. What are you, a detective? Or, just someone with too much time on their hands?"

Aiden hadn't been feeling the best since regaining his memories, turns out being an empath trapped on an island filled with people who have tons of repressed trauma wasn't the best for his physical health. Not that he could argue with whoever stuck him here. He normally wouldn't fall asleep while someone was talking to him, but he couldn't help how his eyes just closed. Jolting forward moments later, "Sorry, I was not sleeping, just resting my eyes..." He scratched just behind his left ear as he tried to blink the sleep from his eyes. "What were we talking about?"

"Hey, it's no trouble man." Johnny replied sincerely, a soft smile playing at the corners of his lips. "I get it. Sleep- we all need it." Giving a small shrug he cleared his throat before continuing. "Ah, nothin' important really. Just shootin' the shit." Glancing around, he allowed a small silence to settle around them before continuing. "I do wanna ask though...You doin' okay? Need anything? You're obviously pretty tired...Work kickin' your ass or somethin'?" While Johnny felt as though he might have some semblance of an idea about what the other might be experiencing, he'd never been one to make assumptions, always finding it safer to simply ask.
