Staple 2015=Success
I'm taking the night off, so I'll update about what an awesome Staple I had once I have cleaned up my apartment enough to unbury my computer. There a sewing machine blocking it right now. (Hurray 400sq ft!) If you stopped by and said Hi at Staple, and now you're following, YAY *Kermit Hands*, and welcome! The etsy store will be on vacation until I can access my inventory. It's been raining all day, so my car is still packed. It was great to meet so many cool people this weekend, and other artists. My favorite thing about Staple is the community aspect.
I had an amazing time at Staple this weekend! I was tabling with my lovely friend ashleyrguillory who draws much more amazing things than I do. We met so many awesome people and picked up some seriously cool comics and prints. Also we were totes only two tables down from Babs Tarr and she traded prints with me and I had to act super cool in front of my art crush and failed miserably. It was the best. And then there were unicorn cookies.
STAPLE this weekend!
Helllloooo from the depths of the winter tundra in which I currently reside!
I'm planning on burrowing out of here early tomorrow morn and heading on down to the fantastically mild Austin climate for some Staple! action this weekend. If you're in the nearby to Austin area, come on out and see me! I'll have a selection of things, including these things:
Staple! Harassment Policy
With Staple! Coming up, I wanted to post their harassment policy. I think it's really important that a show have one. And since I know Uncle Staple personally, I can vouch for the fact that this guy is not gonna put up with crap, and he'll have me personally backing him up. Because I am a burly rumbler. Grrr.

Hey folks! Uncle Staple here. Hope you're all well.
In light of some recent news stories about some other cons, as well as the ongoing general perception of the industry, I feel it behooves me to issue a statement regarding harassment, be it sexual or any other form thereof. Consider it official.
I think we are very fortunate that in ten years of STAPLE! no incident or harassment of any kind has occurred. One time an exhibitor's stalker came to the show, but we were informed and quickly dealt with the situation. Other than that nothing along those lines has happened that I have ever been made aware of.
That said, and I want to make this crystal clear: NO harassment of any kind will EVER be tolerated at STAPLE! Part of our mission is to foster community and acceptance around comics and independent creativity, regardless of race, sex, orientation or gender, and there is no place for that kind of behavior at our show.
If anyone ever experiences any form of harassment at STAPLE!, please inform myself, a staff member or volunteer so we may take the appropriate steps to ameliorate the situation. Any attendee or exhibitor who engages in harassing behaviors will be ejected from the show without refund, and law enforcement will be contacted if deemed necessary.
Anyone who does it might also find themselves with Uncle Staple's footprint on their behind. I got some burly rumblers as back-up and we don't play that. Show respect. Behave. Don't make me angry. If there is any question in your mind about how you should act towards others then please meditate deeply on this before you choose to come to STAPLE!
Any questions?"
