-It was deja vu, all over again. Makina could feel eyes upon her, some from a distance, others from having passed by and made eye contact. However, the further she walked away, the more she was convinced someone was following her as she made her way further from shouting distance. It was just as maddening the second time as it was the first.-
Not this again.
-With a wave of her arm, she pushed back one of the braids, as it dangled behind her back, drawn by the weight of the loop at the bottom. Then, she abruptly turned, to face the pair of eyes---or multiple pairs as was the case.-
"Whatever pre-conceived notion you have about finding out more about me, whether that's a simple 'hello,' or if you're here just to annoy me, you better squash it out of your mind right now. I'm not here to make friends. Understand?"
