[Headcanon]: Soonyoung owns two turtles called Namu and Pepper.
He tilts his head as he’s noticing what’s going on. “What are you doing there…?” Kneeling down on the ground Soonyoung is shaking his head and picks up the small turtle walking across his way. The blonde boy is chuckling as it is getting startled and stops moving all over. It was like the animal didn’t even notice his presence until this very moment. “You’re such an adventurer! Why don’t you take Pepper with you when you’re escaping the box?” He’s chuckling and his finger pets the tiny head of the pet turtle.
Although he loves his pet more than he could ever explain – its name was Namu as the brown shell reminded Soonyoung of a tree – he had some bitter taste on his tongue when talking to it like this. Pepper, the other turtle he owns, actually has been a present to his best friend Youjin but ever since the older one had disappeared without a trace Soonyoung kept both of them at home. And as much as he tried to not think about what might have happened to Youjin seeing those two turtles – one way too active to stay inside the box and trying to find new adventures all the time and the other too busy to chill to even try and get just as hyper as the first one – he kept thinking about it all the time.
“Come on, let’s go back and get you some food~! You can’t leave Pepper alone for too long, you know?” Soonyoung kept on petting the tiny creature as he made his way over to his room where the box was located. He has never yearned for a pet throughout his childhood but taking care of those two turtles was his favorite thing to do in the past weeks.
