oohhh, sorry man, I didn't read too deeply. Also I kinda meant that English is lacking a neutral singular (although the plural is what most people go for) and that'd be a neat way of solving it. I didn't mean to imply that other pronouns weren't as good. (Reading through my ask I can see the badness. Again, my b. I'm pre tired.)

Yeah, English is lacking that, although to be fair, a lot of other Indo-European languages are too. I still think they/their/them can be used pretty effectively, and the perceived clunkiness of it goes down with use.

Omg I was looking at your pronouns (could not figure out what the text was supposed to be at first) so I googled them and they're third person plural pronouns with the th- dropped that is so flipping clever who came up with that they're literally perfect third personal singular pronouns not just agender/nongender/genderqueer etc people but for literally anything it's so much smoother than he/she or even they jesus christ I'm excited.
So first, I updated my sidebar to hopefully make that clearer.
Second, I'm not sure how to react? On the one hand, that is exactly why I chose them/why they fit me, because they are so absurdly logical and I am a logical being, I love that my pronouns are derived directly from they/their/them, I love it.
On the other hand. Two things. Ey/eir/em are nonbinary pronouns. They are not pronouns for when you don't know what pronouns someone prefers--that's what they/their/them is for--and they are not pronouns for cis people. Second thing. There is nothing wrong with ne/nem/nir, ve/vis/vir, xe/xem/xis, nounself pronouns, or any other pronouns a nonbinary person chooses, including choosing she/her or he/him/his pronouns.
So thank you very much for the compliment, but be careful not to throw everyone else under the bus.
