Remember how I said I’d been playing “quite a lot” of modded Starbound?
Yeah. This is my ship - er, ships. ...? My fleet? They’re not all ships. This is my ship world. I built it - them - all myself!
I’ve been wanting to see it all in the same place for a while now, so I put this together! Sorry my character shows up multiple times, I wasn’t sure how else to do it.
My main ship is where all the fun goes on. All the machinery, the crew, the garden, the BEES. At both sides of the garden there are secret doors to allow access to the space outside. There’s a diner, a crew space, an arcade, a cargo bay, and research center, and a science lab. There’s also a secret little room - and a rabbit - just for me!
On the right we have Portable Ancient Gateway, because somehow I was lucky enough to find the portal as a furniture item in a Precursor biome! When placed on a planet, it only teleports you to the Ark, like a normal portal would. However, when placed on the ship, it becomes an ancient gateway.
On the left, I have a little mad science capsule, for all my genetic experimentation and other unethical, perhaps insane, practices... But hey. Sanity is subjective.
On the bottom to the left of my cargo bay, we have a little Precursor ship. The longer I think about it the less I like the design, but it’s really just a place I threw together to be a garden for essence and feeding my farm animals, and also a storage spot for all the Precursor stuff.
And finally, we have an Elder altar - a place dedicated to the eldritch horrors in FU. It may have been my favorite place to build.
I don’t even know if this is impressive, but I’ve never had so much fun building my base before. I can’t even confirm if this is the final version. I just built the ancient gateway yesterday.
But yeah. I plan to continue playing this game. Kudos to all the mod makers. Thank you for adding so much to Starbound!
