  Where was it?!

 Back where she was from, a broken or lost Focus was not difficult for a skilled ruin-diver to replace. As far as she was concerned, that was not the case here. If she couldn’t find her Focus… she’d never find all her files again, all her pictures and journals and mementos, gone. Things she could never recover here. She was well aware of the fact that this place was not the Earth she was from. No way the planet could develop so fast in the time it took for her to take an Electrocution Nap. So she had to find that focus. 

 Fortunately enough, it seemed it wasn’t far. She was an expert tracker, with or without the Focus, so spotting it was easy enough. Unfortunately, though, it was pinched between the fingers of someone who Aloy now realized had snatched it off her head with surprising nimbleness. Not sparing a moment to hesitate, the huntress drew her lance and darted forward, face twisted in determination and anger. Her hand outstretched to snatch the headpiece away from the stranger. 

 “Give that BACK! It’s not yours!”

This was not Mermaid Cove Mall.

A scuffle broke out nearby and spilled out into the street, leaving from place with big, glowing, red lights outlining some word he didn’t quite recognize and the blazing neon caused him to look away, pulling his hood tighter around him as the two men fighting rolled into the road.

This was definitely not Mermaid Cove Mall.

He gathered his own energy, and then heard the first gong but...Not the second. Thanatos blinked, still seeing the same red neon glow on the ground in front of him. Had his miscounted?

“What...?”

Looking around, he was still standing in the middle of the same area. Completely in the same area, standing in the middle of the street, completely dumbfounded. And still without shoes.

Ooooh, this person must be her roommate. It’s not that Ismael doesn’t come back to this place. It’s more of they just never crossed paths. Maybe her roommate spends a lot of their time outside? Ismael sure did, if only to take everything about Spirale in.

“Uhhh,” Clearing her throat, Ismael decides to smile. 

“Hi! I’m Ismael! You live here, too?” Dumb question, but it’s a start.
