Zuko didn't pull away. The feeling of his hands was nothing compared to the fire burning in his chest, a fire that hadn't burned in… a long time.

He exhaled slowly, closing his eyes for a moment in an attempt to compose himself… even though the blush on his face was evident. "…Both," he admitted, his voice lower and more timid than usual.

Then he turned his hand slightly to hold hers, gently and warmly. "I-I can warm them up if you want…"

Zuko glanced over at the Northern Water Tribe woman, her statement coming seemingly out of nowhere. He blushed a little bit, taken aback by how personal it was. "Um, well, I did a little bit from time to time," he replied quietly, scratching the back of his head.

"Before I lost my mother, she'd take us to the beach sometimes and when I was quite young, my sister and I would play together. Before my sister really learned firebending we were a lot closer," he explained. "My uncle, too, would spend some time with me. So… I was lucky in that regard, I suppose."
