like the betrayalās always going to be worse if they cared about you and it didnāt matter. someone discards you because they didnāt give a shit, then you can be angry about that, you can feel vindicated in that, you can get over it. but if they can look you in the eyes and say āI love you. I would make the same choice again.ā You will never sleep peacefully again, is all.
āI thought they cared about me, but they were lying this whole time.ā <- tired. boring. removes all the nuance of this relationship to make it easier to move on from.
āI thought they cared about me, and I was right, and every minute they were there for me, every time they said they were proud, every laugh we shared leaning against each other bruised and breathless, all of it was real. and they still left me behind. They could put their love aside. I couldnāt.ā <- insane. will never leave you alone. reminds you that even the worst people are still people and can still care about even the ones they hurt the most and that undoes neither the harm nor the love.

ā I.... believe you have the wrong temple, miss. Unless you are here for my famous drink for curing hangovers.
ā Is it normal for people to get drunk and just get so lost as to miss an entire temple?
@starcherished asked: š· Send š· for my muse's reaction to yours appearing at their door, drunk. (no longer accepting)
ā Lady, no you are not trying to heal ANYONE while like that. ā Tagah said, his voice firm. He didn't know the water bender for a long time but he knew mixing drinking and bending was a bad, VERY bad idea. ā How about we lay down and get some sleep?
@inndomiitable asked: š· Send š· for my muse's reaction to yours appearing at their door, drunk. (no longer accepting)
Tagah bit his lip as he pondered what to do. To her credit, Toph was being more well behaved than he would have expected her to. He didn't know the Earth Bender enough to truly guess what sort of behavior she would have when drunk but that was definitely not it.
ā Maybe.... that's enough alcohol to you, Toph. You will regret it in the morning. ā He said before trying to get the half empty bottle form her hands.
@airlegacy asked:š· Send š· for my muse's reaction to yours appearing at their door, drunk. (no longer accepting)
The Air Nomad was... speechless to say the least. He had never seen Sonem do such thing and was wondering if it was normal for the Avatar to get himself so intoxicated nowadays. He hoped this was a one time thing.
Slowly he reached out and took the bottle out of Aang's hands.
ā That's enough for you tonight. Not only you are making no sense but I'm sure that you managed to get to the wrong air temple to boot.
@inndomiitable asked: What physical attribute does your muse find most attractive? Is your muse smooth when it comes to flirting? How do they handle being flirted with?
This is actually quite hard for me to answer, reason why while I think physical appearances are a factor, the biggest one will always be their spirituality and personality if that makes sense???? Tagah needs to feel connected with someone. And I'd say he is pretty smooth when he wants too and he definitely likes being flirted back!!

⢠You're bleeding through your shirt. Don't tell me you're fine. ⢠How long have you been walking around like this? ⢠I'm not going to hurt you. @honorabledragon asked: š· Send š· for my muse's reaction to yours appearing at their door, drunk.
ā I believe you were expecting to find another Air Nomad here. ā Tagah said, upon seeing the Fire Lord.
He was taking a few days to rest on that abandoned Air Temple, before continuing his travel to... find himself, so to speak. He had just taken the saddle of Zopa, the air bison that he had befriended upon his return to the world of the living, when Zuko stumbled upon the main area. He seemed.... off. More loose than he remembered him to be.
ā Are you...... feeling alright?

ā You..... you can let go of me now.
āBecause someone once did the same for me.āĀ Zukoās eyes shifted toward Tagah. āYou think I donāt understand what itās like to believe you were justified? To hurt people and call it necessary?ā A humorless breath escaped him. āFor a long time, that was my entire life. I hunted the Avatar across the world. I attacked villages. I betrayed people who trusted me. And every time someone tried to tell me I was wrong, I had a reason to justify it.ā His jaw tightened slightly.
āHonor. Duty. My nation. My pain. I could explain every terrible thing I did and still sleep at night because I thought being hurt gave me the right to hurt others back. But what you didā¦ā Zuko paused there, and for the first time, there was visible strain in his composure. āYou didnāt just lash out. You manipulated our trust while looking us in the eye while you called us your friends, and then you murdered us.ā His voice never rose, which was eerily worse than any emotional outburst. āYou killed Aang.ā
For a brief moment, Zuko looked away toward the darkening sky on the horizon. His throat working to swallow the lump in it before he continued. āAang believes in people so fiercely itās almost infuriating,ā Zuko said with a faint, broken edge of bitter fondness. āHe believes no one is beyond saving. Not me. Not my father. Not anyone.ā His eyes lowered briefly again before Zuko finally looked back at Tagah.
āSo no, I didnāt deny the request. Not because I forgive you. I donāt know if I ever can.ā He let that truth stand plainly between them. āAnd not because what you did can be undone. It canāt.ā He stepped closer then, āBut if I believed a person had to deserve mercy before receiving it, then I would have died an angry, broken boy.ā His voice lowered. āAang gave me a chance before I earned one. Maybe thatās the only reason Iām standing here now instead of becoming someone worse than my father.ā
Tagah listened to what was being said without saying a word back. He wasn't completely aware of what had happened when it came to the Fire Lord before him and the Avatar. He was told bits and pieces, how the fire nation had completely extinguished the Air Nomads and how he had helped Aang set things right and end the war. But the details had been avoided due to how important their mission was. Likely, all of them thought they would have plenty of time to share stories and put him in the loop of things.
He didn't think he deserved forgiveness either. They were from different times, different mind sets. However, unlike the Avatar, Zuko had been born during times of war. His speech alone made him think that maybe he understood his point of view. Even if a little bit.
Still, he thought the other was more likely to throw him in jail than to hear him out.
A sigh escaped from his lips.
ā You left me no choice. I didn't want to kill you or any of your friends, especially Aang. ā Tagah replied. ā I was going to leave peacefully, but then Katara cornered me. When your whole culture, your whole of living is on the line..... one must act fast.
āāšpal had been returning from an evening flight with Juicy when she noticed someone standing by Avatar Aang's statue. It wasn't often that it had visitors, but at dusk it was a bit odd. āJuicy, let's go down.ā She told her sickly flying friend. As they got closer, she could see tattoos lining the man's body, but his hair and wardrobe wasn't any of her companions. When the bison landed on the memorial Island, green eyes locked onto the muscular man. āUm, excuse me. I think that the tours are closed for the day to the island. You'll have to come back tomorrow.ā

Strange, very strange. Where was Jirana? The city he had loved, the paradise for Air Benders was gone in the little time he had been gone. Replaced by.... whatever that city was and that strange statue. He needed to seek Sonem out, she would be able to explain to him yes?
At the sound of a bison, Tagah turned around to see the new comer.
ā My appologies, I didn't know. ā What was true. ā I'm looking for the Avatar. Do you know where is she?

The earthbender was clearly amused with this back && forth. Oh , she couldn't wait for this 'spar' they had planned to happen in the future. Toph would definitely have all the fun she haven't been having with her students. Heck this could even be an opportunity for her to grow her skills.
As soon the subject was changed , she paused for a while , weighing her options if she should tell her abilities openely to the stranger or not. It wasn't a secret to the world that toph was a prodigy, a genuis born ahead of her time. That she created a sub bending at ripe age of 14 && mastered it && taught it to other people on her own but tagah was a different case, he was from a time that earthbending is considered threatening && evil . If she told her talents to him openly, the air bender could percieve it differently , so she decided to not exactly tell all the truth.
ā You have no idea , popsicles. Metal should be on land only but if i were to choose between appa && this metal cage, i'd chose this , no offense. ā Her hand laid flat against the surface of metal , sending waves of her senses towards the whole airship, giving full view of where is everyone currently stationed, before she focused her senses on him , observing the reaction coming from the taller male , as she slowly spelled her half truths. ā Earthbending . Helps me feel sane up here. As long i'm in touch of anything related to earth, i can feel safe even if we are floating in the air. ā
The Air Bender listened with close attention. He genuinely wanted to know but he would be lying if he didn't knew part of his brain, the one wired to fight Earth Benders, was scanning for weaknesses. It was a tactical thing, nothing personal against Toph as a person. For the little they had chatted, she seemed like a fine young lady. Cocky but not in an annoying way. And was one of the Avatar's companion so clearly not someone to be underestimated.
Something in the way she spoke however, caught his attention. Did Toph just say.... metal? But it was not possible to do something like that. Simple.... wasn't. He would know if they could do such things.
ā You speak as if you could bend metal. But we both know that's impossible.
