I’m genuinely not sure whether I ship Asch<3Ion or Asch<>Ion; I feel like there’s a lot of emotional support and mutual improvement going on, so it could go either way.

I feel like Anise is going for kismesissitude with Arietta (”Gloomietta” is just such a bitter nothing of a blackflirt nickname) but she’s only little, and like, trying to imitate adult behaviors whether she actually feels the corresponding emotions or not is kind of her thing. (Her thing that breaks my heart.)

There miiiight be? Internet is inconclusive. They’re probably all still closed for the summer, though.

I also have some major trust issues when it comes to stylists already (Every single time: ”Wow, you have a lot more hair than I was expecting! It really likes to do its own thing, huh?” GEE, JUST LIKE I TOLD YOU, ISN’T THAT WEIRD??) so learners make me extra nervous. But moot point if none of them are open right now.

Oh. Oh I've got it - they're also trees, but the *roots* of trees. the original Arn settlements were underground and the roofs of the trees formed the ceilings of their dwellings - under your tree was your personal chamber, with your story woven in root patterns. Hits the parallels in the original HBC that Dak draws between Arn & Andalites, AND gives an origin for "broken root" (since Hork-Bajir would never experience that themselves).

Ooooh, that’s a really cool idea. Love it.

I do not have a name for Aldrea's Guide Tree, nor am I likely to (since I gave the ixcila plot a miss) so invent one as you like. Hot tip: I come up with Andalite-y names by going to the Andalite page on Seerowpedia, looking at all the Andalite words and names, and kind of mushing syllables from them together until I get a name that sounds halfway decent.
