By the way my new favorite thing in Overwatch is the McCree I played with yesterday who said things like "I'm laggin' like a mule on a trail ride!" when their connection got spotty and "Much obliged, darlin'" after taking my teleporter. Also the Bastion in that match that got in on these silly RP shenanigans too.

Also, I think I've nailed down one of the things I appreciate most about Wildstar: It really isn't any more (or less) ridiculous than World of Warcraft gets anymore, it's just more honest about it.

Worth it to install Origins for the trilogy?

You don't need Origins for the trilogy, just for ME3 because of the way Valve's licensing works—if Steam's going to carry a game, they want to also carry all the DLC for that game, but EA made ME3's DLC an Origin exclusive, which means no ME3 on Steam (and also that I had to make my DLC purchases for 2 from Bioware directly; ME1 and 2 were grandfathered in and allowed to remain on Steam). Obviously the thing I'd have liked most was to have ME3 on Steam, but it's just not in the cards. Not now and maybe not ever.

i've spent very little time interacting with Origin, as I already have a service I prefer in Steam. It sucks to have this redundant program, but that's the cost of entry for ME3 and also for the later Dragon Age titles, which I'm also interested in. So yeah, I'd say it's worth it because there's no other option. If there was I'd probably advocate for that instead.

As I think I've mentioned off-handedly, though maybe not on this blog, Coralie Shepard began her life as an expy of a Dark Heresy character I didn't think I'd have the opportunity to play: Coralie "Calamity" Keynes, a street tough from Sancour tagged on this blog as Curst, as the church stripped her of her name and property for crimes against.

While Coralie Shepard was mothballed, Kurze and I ended up writing an adventure with her and one Inquisitor Edrick Von Hemel. It's workable backstory if I ever do get to play her at this point—but Kurze would have to be DMing, and Von Hemel would have to be directing the cell, I imagine.

Anyway, in the course of events at one point Calamity had asked him about his regrets, and he had a few to mention: a city he'd bombed off the map; the innocent lives he'd damaged to destroy the guilty. Later he expressed doubt that Calamity had the ability to work with him in the long term, given his deceptive and occasionally extreme methods. She's too straight-up-and-down for the Inquisition.

He might have a point about Coralie Keynes. Coralie Shepard, though …
