“i woke up, & you were gone.”
“Sorry...just went to get some coffee,” he said as he loweredhimself back down on the bed next to her, setting his full mug on the bedsidetable. The mattress dipped under the weight of three and he rubbed her backgently as she shifted, trying to get the covers over her ballooned belly infront of her. “You didn’t think I’d dip this late in the game would you?”
She was quiet for a moment, then turned to look over hershoulder at him best she could. “No...I think Luna would probably kill youif you did anyway...” she replied, an almost serious furrow in between herbrows. Then she blew out a frustrated sigh, staring at the fuzzy shape of hismug beyond his shoulder. “I’d honestly rather you be gone than have thataround.” She groaned, but still inhaled the coffee aroma now permeating theroom. “Being pregnant s t i n k s.”
“Yeah, I’d imagine. Sorry?” He chuckled under hisbreath as she tried to blow off a lock of her hair that was stuck to her forehead. He made to move it aside before she fixed him with a hard look.
“Hm...anything I could do to make it up to you?”
“Coffee. Yeah.” A slow grin started to spread on herface. “And then come over here and kiss me.”
He turned his head to look back over at the nightstand, watching the last curls of steam rise and fall over the rim of the mug.
“Seems a long way just to grab coffee.”
“Yeah well, when you’re pregnant, you’ve got to thinkup some really great loopholes.”
“...Yep, yeah, sounds about right.”
