It was hard to concentrate now, especially after the accident, and for some reason none of the teachers understood that.
Gabrielle sighed, running a hand through her hair as she tried to focus on the math work at hands. But after being in the hospital for months, not knowing if she would live or die, homework wasn’t on her list of things to focus on.
She sighed, looking up from her place on the bleachers as she watched the football team practice, what a typical thing to see on a high school campus.
Gabby huffed, slamming the math book closed and leaning back. It was like school just moved on, while her best friend was missing or dead. They didn’t seem to care. No one seems to care. She let her fingers trace against the long scar of the side of her head. The hair may never grow back, she remembered the doctor saying. Just another issue at hand.
