Eloise follows Katherine around the corners, enjoying the twists and turns of the maze.
"Me too!" Eloise replies, glad to have such a good friend like Katherine to do this maze with. It makes it even more of an enjoyable experience for her. "Hmm," Eloise looks thoughtful when asked if they should go left or right. She isn't entirely sure of her answer but she says: "Left, I think."
"I think you're RIGHT." Katherine agrees with a smile as she pulls the other woman along. There's a few more twists and turns, and within minutes they stand in the centre of the maze, where a scarecrow waits for them.
"Oh, I bet no one can beat THAT!" she laughs, turning to face the other. "Now, out the same way or do you think there's a different one, too?"
“Oh, I know,” Jeryd replied with a light chuckle that is more friendly than what he normally presents himself as. “I was given strict instructions for my visits over here to comply with your families’ protocols but, between us, I’ve been testing the boundaries of some of them.” One of the things he set about doing in his campaign was having America not complying or hearing demands of others. “And the crown doesn’t use to garner some good PR with the public? I thought they would.” That entire establishment was something that intrigued him but also seemed so antiquated. Distance was a luxury the royals didn’t seem to have. His own team had informed him how they had a rota to keep dictated by The Firm that seemed irritating and he couldn’t imagine ever adhering to that.
Shaking his head, Jeryd made a noise. “I have to firmly disagree with you on that. It might be different here, but I inherited quite a welfare problem of people taking advantage of the system, of the states generosity and I need to fix that. Is it going to be harsh? Yes.” Firm in speech as he was with everything. “People get lazy if you give them too much help and then they expect it without doing anything to change their circumstances. Why should we reward that?” The harsh stance on that subject is what got him in this very situation.
Henry really DOES need to be a little bit more careful about the things he says. He'd like to argue, and tell the other man he's wrong, but technically he's also not allowed to comment on political matters at all, and this is going into that territory. He's lucky this whole thing counts as a charity, so he can work here, and if someone wants to use it as good press for their image? Well, that's nothing new to him, it's half of what the Royal Family does and has always done their entire existence anyway.
"How long are planning on staying?" He asks instead, "We should be done handing food out in maybe half an hour." There's other things to do, but he's also well aware people who don't do this on a regular basis usually just stick around for the photo op.

Something tells her that Morgana is simply trying to get them to linger a little closer. Not that Gwen minds. Guinevere enjoys being nearer to Morgana. In fact, she was the one who arranged this little get together in the first place. Originally it was supposed to be a bunch of them here: Arthur, Morgana, Leon, Lancelot, her brother, Gwaine, Merlin, Freya and a few others, but one thing led to another and it was just them. Still, she tried to make the best of it. In her head, she thought of it as a date of sorts, but she tried not to. They were just FRIENDS. Always had been. And Gwen wasn’t going to do anything to jeopardize that.
Grinning once Guinevere helped Morgana with her second snowman ornament, she handed her some paint and markers, saying, “Maybe next time we’ll be able to better arrange having everyone all here. This has been a lot of fun, though. I do have one of my casseroles in the oven for us for dinner, so I do hope you still brought your appetite with your for when we’re finished with these.”
Morgana ENJOYS hanging out with their friends. Growing up, Arthur and her friends had always been carefully selected to make sure they're in the right company, but the moment they had left home, she had learned what it meant to have real thing. Though she's not stupid, she knows this is different. It's ALWAYS been different with Gwen, and for someone who's usually very forward in life, Morgana can't quite explain why she's so hesitant to take things further.
She smiles, their fingers brushing together as Gwen hands her some of the paint. "Oh, you know I'm always up for your casserole," She then chuckles, "Actually. How about we do that NOW? I think I'm done with this one."
Suddenly, Beatrice wants to know everything about her. That will come in time, she is sure. If Nora is the Nora on her arm, then she is very certain indeed that they will find a way to spend more time together in the future, even if they do live miles apart. “Hm, good point. I’ve never quite understood the animosity there. Perhaps we’ll have to try to fix that.” Beatrice doesn’t say that she knows Henry’s got the name Alexander written somewhere on him and she has the sneaky suspicion that it’s Alexander, as in the President’s son, Alexander. Would this all be a coincidence if that were true? And quite marvelous too, if they worked out.
She sips a little at her champagne, gesturing for Nora to take a seat at an empty table with her that she’d found. She’d even gone out of her way to be polite and pull out a chair for her too. Beatrice could be quite the charmer when she wanted to be. And she was certainly going to be once she realized Nora was indeed her soulmate.
“No? That’s such a shame! There’s so many wonderful things to see here in London!” Bea tsks a little as she shakes her head. Seriously, why hadn’t anyone given them a tour yet? Then again, she understands them not having had the time.
“I don’t see why not. How long are you here for? Since my brother and his new wife will be off to the their honeymoon, I won’t be busy for a few days. I could arrange to give you a tour. Show you first hand what there is to see and for some, not to see in London. I can get the keys to anywhere, you know.” Bea grinned a little, because it was true. If Nora had somewhere she was curious about, she was sure she could help her get in.
It's not like Nora DOESN'T know about Alex' tattoo, she had been the one to discover it after all, and they had both shared their names with each other the day they had ended things on good terms. She had made the connection, too, about Prince Henry possibly being the soulmate Alex had pretended not to look for, but once again he had pretended not to care SO HARD he truly hadn't made the connection himself.
He's in for a surprise, She thinks as she settles down at the table with a smile, thanking the other woman for pulling a chair out for her. "Really?" She raises one eyebrow at the other woman, lips curved into a SMILE. "I'm going to get the Royal Tour, I'm flattered." She can still feel the faint buzzing under her skin, and while it's settles down a little, it's very much still there, making her want to lean in even closer.
"We're here for the rest of the weekend. Well. Alex is. I don't really have anywhere else to be until at least...let's say Tuesday." Nora's smile turns into a grin. "And I can also work from anywhere, really, so any place in London you'd think I should know, I'll make time for it,"
She takes another sip of her champagne and then glances over at the other woman. "How about RIGHT NOW though?" Another smile. "I bet nobody would be looking for the Princess and the Vice President's granddaughter while all eyes are on the Royal Wedding,"

It's been a while since Philip's been back to the cottage he and his siblings grew up in; Anmer is 'home' now, has been since even before he and Martha got married, but some of his things are still here, still boxed up as they wait for him to collect them. He's been worrying at the corner of a strip of tape on one of the boxes for a couple of minutes now, which turns into pulling it off completely and opening the box --- to reveal a bunch of model planes.
"Maybe I should hang these up in my office," he smiles, holding one up for Martha, "as a reminder of good times." He used to make the models with his father nearby, after all, and Henry right next to him to watch - those memories are still some of his most cherished, even now.
Martha had been SURPRISED when Philip had asked her to come along to take a look at the boxes still left in the cottage. Maybe, she thinks, it's because of the fight they had the other night, and maybe this is him making an effort. Or maybe Bea told him it would be the right thing to do, and once again he's just following someone else's orders. ( She KNOWS she shouldn't resent him for that as much as she does, but sometimes she cannot help it ).
She carefully takes the plane that's offered to her and returns the smile, because it's been a while since she's truly seen him smile, too. The cottage is nice, but she knows they won't be moving in here, and Henry won't be either, not if he can help it. She's pretty sure he's HAPPIER across the Atlantic anyway. "You should," She then nods, "Maybe we should save some for a nursery, too. You know? It would look nice,"
He could get used to this, he thinks. Henry’s hands in his hair, cuddled up in bed together as they sleep. It has him longing for days after graduating, for them to move in together maybe and do this all the time, however, he knows that’s not a real expectation. Not where Henry is involved at any rate, but they can always TRY to make something work, at least, Alex wants to. He just hopes that Henry does too.
“Morning, sweetheart,” Alex says, accent thicker in the morning from sleep. He feels more rested than he has in days and that’s saying something considering there’s been many a night where he stays up late to study regardless of rules. Alex is pretty sure that he’s not the only one around here who does that.
“Good, actually. Really good,” And he’s surprised he’s not all that sore, at least compared to last night at any rate. Henry had been gentle with him and he knows that makes a world of difference. “How’re you? Ready to get that shower we mentioned last night? Or do you want to laze about in bed for a little while longer. The weekend is ours for the taking.”
It's NOT like Henry had expected Alex to freak out or anything, but having your first time with someone is a big step, and they are still roommates who have to spend the rest of the semester together, and granted: they've been hooking up, but...oh he's not even sure WHY he worries so much. Maybe because this isn't something he usually does. He occasionally tops, but most guys here really just want to fuck the Prince of Wales and Henry enjoys being fucked, so he doesn't complain.
It's not like that with Alex though. Well, he obviously ENJOYS being fucked by him, but he's also happy to give Alex whatever he wants. He just...wants to enjoy the time they have with each other. "Mhm..." he mutters, leaning up to press a kiss to the underside of Alex' jaw. "How about we have a shower to clean up and then go back to bed?" He's not going home for the weekend, he doesn't even want to, so he can stay in bed with Alex all he likes.
"Come on, love." Henry eventually adds, pulling the covers back and then lacing their fingers together so he can drag the other man to the bathroom. They're definitely a little sticky still, and the warm water feels HEAVENLY on his skin as he pulls Alex closer. "You're really okay?" He asks quietly, tracing his fingers over the other man's back. "I know it can be a lot."
They really were that couple that was annoyingly cute, almost sickeningly cute if you happened to watch them long enough. Jeremiah did not give a damn, though, he was smitten to say the least.
"That's great, how long is he in town for?" He asks with a soft smile. "I know you two are pretty close." Which is nice, since he wasn't close with his own father. "Of course it's okay, I wouldn't be asking if you if it wasn't okay. Con will probably have Belly over anyway, possibly."
"The 27th, I think?" Ricky nods in response. "He's got plans for New Years, but that's fine. I've got plans as well." And while he loves his dad, he's pretty glad that they have put some distance between them both. It makes the actual visits even better.
"You know," He finally says, squeezing the other's hand. "I like that you're kinda planning a future where I'll still be in your life next Christmas."
"I prefer to hold you when you're awake because then you can hold me back." He grins. "It's almost nine." He figured it was late enough. He wanted his Ricky time.
"FAIR," He laughs softly, nuzzling his face into the other man's chest for a moment. "You wanna go somewhere for breakfast?"

"You're going to love this one. The Notebook will make you cry, but well worth it end the end. If you've not actually read the book for it, I expect you'll be surprised by it." Emma had only seen this one once, when she'd snuck into the theater as a teen for it. "Though perhaps we should have brought tissues with us too ...,"
"Well, I do like ALL sorts of books." Belle replies with a slight chuckle, but admittedly, she thinks that Emma is right when she says that Belle is partial to the romantic ones, at least she is AGAIN these days. "I've seen the book around, and I've put it on my reading list, but I haven't gotten around to reading it just yet," she then adds, settling down onto the couch with the other woman. "Is it really THAT sad?"
