wow so okay it's sky's birthday i have no point of reference to go off of but we're going off anyway ok

first, you should know something about sky. that thing is: she is not just one thing. ahahha you laugh but no i'm dead serious you cannot just sum her up like that. you'll fail. and we'll laugh you out of the ballpark how's that for turning the tables huh??

as an attempt, though, with more than one word, Skyler Lynn Terias is a gift of the gods. she has a sense of humor that will track with you no matter where you go and never fail. she is well-read and well-watched and can meet you on whatever fandom plane you need. she's smart as a whip and can really surprise you with things she's picked up on. she's pretty much one of the funniest people i've ever met and i'm including myself so you know she's hilarious. she cares about people on a deep, deep level, and she will always make sure you're okay no matter the cost to her. she writes characters that are real and true and gritty and then makes you fall in love with them. she writes like she's writing under oath to a temple so it takes you a while to realize how simply, fantasticly human her words are.

sky is a ball of light and gas and fire and laughter and a couple poptarts 'cause why not and a joy that refuses to crumple no matter what's going on in her life.

because that's a nother thing: she has a rough life she never talks about because she doesn't want to complain but as a result she has the bravest soul i know. she is an actual lioness and i've heard her roar and it's like a trumpet call from the top of a mountain. 

it's her birthday today.

this ineffably sublime person, with wings like an angels that streak from her back to brush her calves with soft grace, with 3 am cosplay skills that whup me day in and day out, with a laugh that makes her pee, with a desire to heal humanity, with friends she never forgets and promises she always keeps and a face that looks like the sun peeking out from behind a cloud, is having a birthday today.

she has made my nights better 101% of the time. she has been okay with me being a jerk because my day was bad. she has held me when i'm terrible and when i'm great. she has made me laugh so hard i've hurt my head from hitting it on things while flailing wildly. shes talked with me seriously about serious things and made me reconsider things.

and darling, it's been less than a year.

so please, if you could, go wish my Skyler a happy birthday, because more than any of us, she deserves it.
