Updated KR Power Rankings and SSL Betting Breakdown

Last week I released my full set of Korean Top 10 Power rankings, Since then we had ProLeague, Gold Series All Star Challenge and various online cups. At this point in the season, wholesale changes are not to be expected, although some minor shuffling is definitely in order.

First let us take a look at my overall Power Rankings

1.) Zest

2.) Dark

3.) Solar (Up 1)

4.) Maru (Down 1)

5.) Stats

6.) Dear (Up 3)

7.) INnoVation

8.) Rogue

9.) ByuN (Up 1)

10.) TY (Down 4)

Probably the most controversial move is moving Solar past Maru. The logic is Maru beats literally everyone except Zest and Zergs at soO’s current form or better. I think Solar is currenly in better form than soO. Also Dear moving up 3 spots should not be a surprise to anyone who has seen him play lately. TY dropping 4 spots is mostly due to his form being very hit or miss the last few weeks. Some nights he looks like a top 3 players, other nights unworthy of the top 10.

Now let's look at Protoss Rankings:

1.) Zest

3.) Dear

4.) herO

5.) sOs

6.) MyuNgSiK (Up 2)

7.) Classic

8.) Patience

9.) Trap

10.) Super

Only mover is MyuNgSiK up to #6. He showed some great strats in Proleague finals that left his first two opponents armies completely amiss. Simply got out multi tasked by Maru which is just kind of what happens when anyone plays Maru. Also will note that Dear has been in excellent form.

Next up, the Zerg Rankings:

1.) Dark

2.) Solar

3.) Rogue

4.)  soO (Up 1)

5.) Curious (Down 1)

6.) ByuL

7.) DongRaeGu (Previously NR)

8. Soulkey

9.) Ragnarok

10.) Departure

No real big movers here, just think I needed to show some more respect to DRG. After rewatching his games vs soO, it became clear that his form is definitely worthy of being in the top 10 zergs. Got some more data on soO after the Proleague finals and his ranking was adjusted accordingly. Curious seems to be returning to the same old guy who beats players he should, and loses to players he should just the same. I’m going to be keeping a close eye on ByuL over the next few weeks. In the later half of March he seems to be finding his groove on LotV. He could easily move into the top 5 in the near future.

The TY move was described in my overall power rankings, he just hasn’t been as consistent as the other top terrans. INnoVation seems like he has fully downloaded LotV into his mainframe and that should be scary for everyone going into Season 2 in 2016. Extra Credit: If I had an “Online Tourney Terran Rankings” It would go 1.) ByuN, 2.) Gumiho, 3.) aLive, 4.) Ryung, 5. Keen

So now lets look at tonight’s SSL match…

Opening odds:

Solar -180  (-1.5 @ +100)

Stats +140 (+1.5 @ -130)

My homework wasn’t all the way finished when lines were released. I knew I ranked Solar higher than Stats but wasn’t quite finished calculating by how much. Hindsight tells me Solar -1.5 @ +100 was a good bet.

Current Odds Range I can get (People in different regions than I can get numbers around .1 better or worse than what Im seeing.)

Solar -185 to -190 ( -1.5 @ +100 to -110)

Stats  +144 to +150 (+1.5 @ -120 to -137

I grabbed Solar -1.5 @ +100. The guy had 200+ builds ready for his matches with Dark and I believe him. Stats has only played one Zerg in his last 10 matches (all of March). In that match he beat Curious in Proleague. 11 Matches ago he lost 3-0 to Dark in SSL. I think Solar is not too far off of Dark, even after the great series last week. I would play Solar ML but the value really isn’t there anymore. If there is a lot of Stats money late, I’ll prob make a move but until then, Solar -1.5 is the only place I have money.

오랜만에 근사한 곳에서 치뤄진 결승전이었소. Byul 정신체의 컨디션도 좋지 않았고, 초반 공격에 허무하게 경기가 끝나는 등 솔직히 내용이 좋았다고 보기는 힘들지만, 바니 연구소에서는 보기 힘들었던 군단 숙주가 나온, 즐거웠던 경기도 있었고, 사람도 많았고, 현장의 반응도 즐거웠소. Entus 연합의 다른 지휘관들과 다른 세계에서 온 소환사들도 응원하러 와주기도 했고. 앞으로도 이런 자리가 다시 있었으면 좋겠군. 우승한 herO 집행관에게 축하를 전하고 싶소.
