individuals could be born with TALENT -- and they would immediately prosper and overwhelm those hard workers who climbed with their blood and sweat. ivory palms had an overabundance of callus-- yet there were always better individuals with softer palms. knees would be scraped as he sought for perfection yet there would be those who didn’t portray such injuries upon bodice, yet still remains at the apex of his level. in the end, was it hard work or luck that truly mattered?
did it even matter to risk your life for an individual whom you were destined to kill?
of course not. he had simply been unlucky to be placed in a predestined situation. even as he tries to avoid it -- the game board continues to spin did it not? caught in an endless reverie where ambiguity had blinded his line of sight. where would he go now and to whom? his bestfriend was DEAD -- scarlet tainted upon his own slender digits as his lifeless physique remained stagnant ( rotting ) mere meters away from him.
‘ ..... ‘
the sudden sound of ample steps and a simple question causes ears to perk up ever so slightly. my, my --- now wasn’t it the LUCKY individual who had still managed to have a hold of his best friend?
‘ I don’t know -- tooru. how about exchanging your bestfriend for a free gateway back to your dimension? ‘
