She didn't think she'd see this sight again so soon.

But what else could she expect from this crazy man who lives in the sewers?

"Y-You're hurt again?" She asked as she eyed his wound.

Their last parting words echoed in her head.

"Don't bother me. Don't come by me. If you see me, run the other way... Or I'll give you a reason to run myself...

They sent a small chill down her spine. A part of her wanted to run as she caught sight of the chainsaw...but the other...

"...Let me...h-help you. Okay?"

She'd healed herself just fine. She could heal him too, right?

She just hoped that he wouldn't end up giving her a reason to be afraid after all...

From the shadows of an alleyway, Rin could see two eyes staring him down, ones that belonged to a figure that was just barely illuminated by the flickering streetlight overhead.

When the figure realized they had been spotted, they stepped out into the light, and Rin could now see that they had a weapon– a red-handled, rusty chainsaw– and did not seem happy that Rin was there.

"Are you looking for a fight?"

🌀 "H-Huh?! Are you for real?" Rin took a few steps back. He couldn't help it he had pretty good night vision. How was he supposed to know this creepy stranger lurking in the shadows didn't want to be stared at? "This is like a horror movie... why would I be looking for a fight?! Are you looking for one?" 🐈‍⬛

Holding a drink in one hand and a pink, flower-patterned totebag in the other, a duck with big, ginger ringlets walked forward on the sidewalk. She seemed to get distracted by something in a shop's window, and crashed right into Drake. Thankfully, her coffee was only warm by now, so no scalding, but it did get all over Drake.

"-Oh my gosh! I am so sorry! Um..." She set her bag down, taking off her pink cardigan and beginning to try and furiously wipe the coffee from this stranger's shirt. "I should have been watching where I was going-"

The opposite of a meet cute abt to occur.

Drake was in a little bit of a rush; if he was being honest, he'd just dropped Gosalyn and his nephews at the arcade and was hoping to run a few errands before they got kicked out. Or Gosalyn and Honker snuck off to get into trouble. Which he would have to bail them out of. Worse, he had heard from Launchpad that Scrooge's family would be in town for something or another, and that jumped the possibility of a supervillain being born by like twenty percent.

So he really had to make time, and he really did try to dodge out of the way of the poor woman who ran into him, but he wasn't quick enough to avoid coffee all down his shirt.

"Whoa-- hey, it's alright, happens to everyone, are you alright?"

Okay, he can adjust his timeline a little, no big deal.

"Oh, hello. Sorry, I didn't see you there."

"Did you need something?

"U-Uh, can you help me find my m-mom?" Addy turned left, then right. Her mom finally took her to the shopping strip for some bonding time, and what ends up happening? She loses her.

It wasnt even crowded at all, and yet her mom still found a way to lose track of her.

"I-I...I don't know where she went. Or where I a-am."

Addy was really getting the hang of her powers! It's still difficult switching between abilities and learning what she can and can't do, but she really thinks that maybe, just maybe she can be a force of good for her city. Maybe even the world!

Maybe she could be a hero just like Darkwing Duck or Gizmoduck! Wouldnt that be something?

She had the costume, she had a name, now she just needed the practice.

Today, she was doing some flight practice, seeing if she could conjure wings and fly about. Addy took a breath and started to focus.

Think of...a butterfly's wings. Soft, flappy wings...

"Come on..." It took a lot of concentration, but soon enough, large wings like a monarch butterfly's sprouted from her back,

Addy gasped as she stood up from her spot.

"Woah..." She laughed before spinning.

"I did it! I did it!"

Okay...next part. Taking flight.

"Okay, just...flap...flap..." She slowly flapped her new wings, letting them open and then close. Open and close. Like...like a fairy from the fairy movies she loved!

"flap...flutter..." Okay, now faster!

She flapped with all her might, her eyes lighting up as she slowly took off into the air.

"I-I'm doing it! I'm doing it!" She laughed as she soared above the abandoned construction zone she'd chosen to train at. She was learning quickly! Man, if only she could fly to school. Or even above the city. Now that would be so-

She froze as she saw a familiar yellow coat. She'd memorized it well by now.

Negaduck.

What was he doing here?! The area was supposed to be fairly secluded, as it was an abandoned construction zone a little bit further out from the city. Then again, he did seem to thrive in areas just like this, where he could lie low.

Darn it! How does she keep running into this one, dumb old duck?!

The shock made her wings abruptly disappear, sending her plummeting down.

"A-AAAAAH!"

Quick, think of slowing down gravity!

She took a deep breath, closing her eyes as she concentrated again.

Think of gravity slowing down. Think of being light as a feather...

She began to slow her descent on command, causing her to land on her back with a thud.

It knocked the wind out of her, but it was better than going SPLAT from that height.

"O-ow-" She froze up again when she saw that she'd landed right in front of Negaduck.

Great, just her luck.

Maybe...maybe he didnt see anything?

She hoped...

"H...Hiiii Mr.Negaduck...How are...you?" She asked, as if she didn't quite literally fall from the sky.

It had been maybe a month since she last saw Negaduck. Thankfully, there were some news reports about him, so at the very least, she knew he was alive.

Since the last time she saw him, she and her friends had started a new game together. A game where they can be real superheroes.

They'd dress up in their own costumes, give themselves their own codenames and made up powers, and go out to do some good deeds. It was fun, it felt like they were making a difference too. Just like Darkwing.

"Alright, so Ms.Thompson is looking for her cat Scrambles." Addy looked over the Missing Cat poster with Bobby. Oliver and Catherine had split up to cover more ground, leaving her and him to search this half of the city for the missing cat.

"He looks old and gross. Maybe he just died out in the gutter?"

"Bobby!" Addy shivered, growing squeamish at the thought of finding the poor kitty dead in the road.

"Sorry! Just saying!" He put his hands up, quickly apologizing for even saying that. He fixed his mask as they walked together down the street.

"Well dont just say stuff like that! Scrambles has to be okay. I can feel it in my gut."

But just as they rounded a corner, her heart stopped as she caught sight of a familiar yellow coat. In an instant, she grabbed Bobby's jacket sleeve and pulled him around the corner.

"Wha- hey-" She slapped her hand over his mouth and gestured for him to be quiet.

She wasnt too scared of Negaduck, but she sure as heck didn't want to be running into him while they were playing their game. Especially not with Bobby.

Because while she was docile, Bobby definitely would not be if they were spotted by the villain.

Negaduck has somehow got himself stuck head-first in the trash can outside of Rin's place of residence. Will Rin help him or leave him to fend for himself?

🌀 Rin doesn't even take the time to consider what is happening or why. He sees a guy in distress- guy? Duck? Something. It wouldn't be the first time he's gone out of his way to rescue dumb birds.

YOINK. Negaduck's getting grabbed by the foot and unceremoniously hoisted out of there. 🐈‍⬛
