🌱Kill la Kill is a coming of age story that's specifically geared towards high school Japanese girls. Clothing represents submitting to social roles, and nudity represents rejection of those roles.
Kill la Kill says that to grow in to an adult one must grow in to having the ability to choose for oneself which of those social roles they want to play in to for the convenience and benefit of accepting them, and which social roles they choose to reject for the sake of one's own self expression etc.
If you accept all social roles you'll never get to live as yourself, and if you reject all social roles you'll be disadvantaged by society rejecting you back. This is why the most powerful thing in the show is the kamui, which is both clothed and also nude at the same time.
