I think I remember you mentioning a while ago that you were open to people asking you about characters in Starpath because you wanted to talk about how you'd characerise them as both humans and Cybertronians.
Admittedly I do not remember if this only applied to characters you've already brought up or not so feel free to ignore this ask for whatever reason if you want.
I was wondering how you'd characerise Smokescreen in your AU, since I'm writing a reverse mecha au fic starring him I'm curious to see where we'd differ :D what would he be like and who would he know?
YAY. YAAAY. this is true i did do that and then i took the announcement down in favor of the slight rewrite announcement because nobody before now asked. and i was open to EITHER because I LOVE CHARACTERIZATIOOOON
anyway oouuhhh smokescreen...... as a special treat i will detail all three (3) possible versions of him because yaaay hypotheticals.
in starpath pilot edition as in a wrong space pilot there's a FEW possibilities. i was toying with the idea of prowl and his brothers being the product of an EFFECT cloning program but overall he's with bluestreak at an EFFECT base suffering as everybody does there. nothing special. probably came to terms with the fact that prowl died ages ago. definitely has at least one organ replaced and with what no one knows. pilots a . hmmmmmm i think either a newton (throw yourself bodily at your enemies mech) or a lagrange (EFFECT equivalent of a wolf)
in starpath as a cybertronian he's either still trapped on cybertron or made it off with bluestreak after they got separated from prowl. i think they were hanging out with everybody currently on the lost light and the surprise quint attack that got everybody to finally mobilize off got them separated. they probably hang out with skywarp to be honest since she is ALSO still stuck on cybertron
and as an outside inside Regular Ass pilot he's more of an administrativey guy who occasionally pilots the same way prowl does since he's so good with tactics. prowl talks about him like he died at war but literally he just got transferred to a different base. they call a lot and smokescreen misses prowl + bluestreak but he still has friends and he's doing alright
