Gin is kind of intrigued by the idea of being tied up. Not shackled or tethered but tied up. Him or his partner, though preferably the latter - he needs to trust the other to a 100% for them to tie Gin up. The reason? He still feels a bit reluctant because not being able to move his hands or limbs reminds the dragon of how his grandfather often treated him. So to not make it sound weird: he doesn’t want to lose the control he has over his own body, if that makes sense.

𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝙰𝚂𝙺𝙴𝙳 𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝙾𝚄𝚃 𝙵𝙸𝚁𝚂𝚃?

They don't really become a couple or ask each other out in the traditional way, it sort of just happens when they keep spending more and more time together. It didn't necessarily need a label, but Irvine eventually suggests being exclusive, and Selphie happily agrees.

𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝚆𝙴𝙽𝚃 𝙸𝙽 𝙵𝙾𝚁 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙵𝙸𝚁𝚂𝚃 𝙺𝙸𝚂𝚂?

Irvine tried to a couple times but Selphie was so oblivious that she ended up dodging out of the way unintentionally. She actually let him the third time, when she was actually paying attention.

𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝙶𝙸𝚅𝙴𝚂 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙾𝚃𝙷𝙴𝚁 𝙽𝙸𝙲𝙺𝙽𝙰𝙼𝙴𝚂?

They both have nicknames for each other, but Selphie started first. Though she favors Irvy most of the time, the full "Irvy Kinneapoo" comes up occasionally, especially when she's trying to be stern, and it never fails to make him smile. She is similarly smitten with the way he alternates between Sefie and Sunshine for her, among all the other sweet pet names.

𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝙲𝙾𝙾𝙺𝚂 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙼𝙴𝙰𝙻𝚂?

Irvine. Almost always Irvine. Selphie can make a couple of traditional Trabian recipes fairly well and that's about it.

𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝙷𝙰𝚂 𝙱𝙴𝚃𝚃𝙴𝚁 𝚃𝙰𝚂𝚃𝙴 𝙸𝙽 𝙼𝚄𝚂𝙸𝙲?

Neither is better, necessarily, but their tastes are not the same. Selphie's is more varied, ranging from upbeat pop to classical and even some techno songs with catchy melodies.

(The playlists they may turn on in their bedroom, however, are mutual favorites.)

𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝙷𝙾𝙶𝚂 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙱𝙴𝙳?

Irvine can sprawl to take up more space, but Selphie can sometimes tug the blankets over to her side.

Unless she's particularly exhausted, Selphie is usually up first, even if just by a few minutes.

Following the above, Selphie usually has a pot brewing by the time Irvine gets up. But there's something a little extra special about how he puts together a mug for her.

Irvine, almost always!

Despite her early mornings, Selphie; more often than not, Irvine is out like a light by the time she drags herself to bed.

𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝚁𝙴𝙰𝙲𝙷𝙴𝚂 𝙵𝙾𝚁 𝚆𝙷𝙾'𝚂 𝙷𝙰𝙽𝙳?

They're both pretty touchy-feely, so they often reach for each other. Irvine did it first though, and Selphie answered with a smile and an affectionate squeeze.

𝚆𝙷𝙾'𝚂 𝙰 𝙵𝙰𝙽 𝙾𝙵 𝙿𝙳𝙰?

Both. RIP to the third person assigned on a mission with these two, they'd be all over each other.

Irvine, sometimes, but he usually just mumbles in his sleep more often than not. Selphie finds it amusing when trying to talk with him after he's gone to bed.

𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝙶𝙴𝚃𝚂 𝙰𝙽𝙽𝙾𝚈𝙴𝙳 𝙼𝙾𝚁𝙴 𝙴𝙰𝚂𝙸𝙻𝚈?

Selphie's fuse is shorter in general, although her ire is usually not directed at Irvine (unless he's using her video camera to flirt with other students across the ballroom...). Irvine is quicker to become protective of her.

𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝙸𝙽𝙸𝚃𝙸𝙰𝚃𝙴𝚂 𝚂𝙴𝚇?

They both do, although Irvine just gets the edge because Selphie is often absorbed in her work, and he ends up capturing her attention with touches and kisses that distract her very easily.

𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝙰𝚂𝙺𝚂 𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝙵𝙾𝚁 𝚃𝙷𝙴𝙸𝚁 𝙷𝙰𝙽𝙳 𝙸𝙽 𝙼𝙰𝚁𝚁𝙸𝙰𝙶𝙴?

Irvine eventually does! Although they live together for so long beforehand that it feels like they've already been married for a while by the time he pops the question officially.

"Asking me to pick a favorite? I dunno if I can pick just one! But if I have to, there's the time we snuck up to the cockpit of the Ragnarok together and he encouraged me to take it for a spin, or the first time we stayed up late one night just reminiscing, and even that first big Garden Festival that we finally got to enjoy, when he helped me with every little detail and all of his support, and I could just tell how proud he was of finally having that big celebration come together."

"Sometimes I regret secretly junctioning that first GF I ever found, 'cause that led to lots of the orphanage memories just disappearing from my head. And Irvy remembers a lot more than I do. I did remember some stuff, like how we would teach each other some words in our different languages, but I do wish I had a better memory of some of the things we did together, even back then."

"Y'know, that's a good question... I think we could probably both fall under physical touch, but I think he also might like words of affirmation, too. I'm pretty sure Irvy has kept almost every single note I've written for him, even if it's just on a scrap of paper or a hastily scribbled 'I love you'. He had remained guarded for centuries, avoiding any contact with creatures of his kind. More than often, they regarded themselves superior or they fought over an artifact - Gin could vaguely remember. He had been nothing but a youngling back then, as he had to accompany his grandfather to a meeting with several others, a gathering Gin would have never imagined. But even if you forgot the face, you never forgot a dragon's scent.

"Do we know each other?" Such an odd thing to say to someone who merely passed the street. Yet no matter how much Gin wished to deny it, his sensed had a different opinion, opting him to turn and speak to the stranger. "From a long time ago..."

"Old? I'm not old! Wow, that actually hurt. I wanted to take you out and show my friends how cute you are, but I don't think I want to anymore!" Haewon pouted out her lip, trying to pretend as if she wasn't in her mid 30's and that their comment actually stung a little. Sometimes she forgot she'd wasted a majority of her 20's on her ex and was having to start dating all over again.

[ 🫳 ]ㅤ.ㅤwho do they feel they owe, but never paid back ?

𝑯𝑬𝑨𝑫𝑪𝑨𝑵𝑶𝑵 𝑸𝑼𝑬𝑺𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵𝑺.

There is one particular debt she will never be able to repay, even though she wishes desperately that she could: a couple of her late friends that were going to be part of her band.

Those are the graves she always visits first, filling them in on what's been going on in her life. Without those friends, she wouldn't have been encouraged to follow her dreams of performing with a band on a stage in front of an audience.

Without them, she wouldn't have such a desire to bring the Garden Festival to life like she has a few times, intent on bringing that shared dream into reality in honor of them.

They're only a part of why she fights so fiercely for Trabia's reconstruction, and while she can't talk to them directly or even repay them for their friendship, support, and encouragement, she can do her absolute best to carry on their memory and keep that dream alive.

[ 💼 ]ㅤ.ㅤwhat do they always carry with them ?

𝑯𝑬𝑨𝑫𝑪𝑨𝑵𝑶𝑵 𝑸𝑼𝑬𝑺𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵𝑺.

Aside from things that are probably obvious - her phone, money, first aid items, at least one or two nunchaku, Doomtrain and a whole store of magic - she does have a few little keepsakes that are almost always on her person.

The first is her necklace, something her friends in Trabia gifted her before she transferred, and she hardly ever takes it off. It means more to her now than it did when she first received it.

She also has a photo that she absolutely insisted be taken of the six main party members once everything settled down after Ultimecia, which she made copies of and handed out to everyone else. But she carries hers around almost everywhere, stuck into the back of her phone case for safe keeping.

Although they hardly get used, she also usually has at least a couple hair ties and bobby pins in some pocket or another. Her curls usually remain in their tamed flips, but if there was ever a reason she needed her hair out of her face or to try to pick a lock, she's prepared!

are they dominant, submissive, switch, partner/context-dependent, or unsure? (For Gin since the other was already answered 😬)

Ohhh that is a good question because I haven't thought much about it yet nor written much in that direction with Gin but he is slowly figuring it out. As for now, I'd say he is a switch. He has no problem being submissive but more than often, enjoys taking the lead ( he's still rather gentle in his approach ). So I guess that sort of goes hand in hand with it being partner/context-dependent because for Gin, the atmosphere is important. Perhaps his usually quiet partner finally wants to try themselves out? Or maybe they need someone to lead them... Gin's that kind of lover.
