4. How easy is it to earn their trust?

extremely difficult!!! sure, he'll ACT like he's chummy with you and that he thinks you're wonderful etc etc, but does that mean he trusts you? absolutely not. he's holding you at arms length by building up this facade, and it takes quite a lot for anyone to break through that.

3. How do they put themselves to bed at night (reading, singing, thinking?)

when he is not doing superhero things what does mel like to do?? hobbies?? things he likes??

mel’s a big overachiever + a massive busybody so he’s always Doing Something

so he’s on the track team @ his hs, but he’s more a speed guy than a distance guy so his events are like timed sprints + stuff but those practices are like 4hrs long if i remember correctly from my Very Short stint on the track team 

when he gets home he does the homework. immediately, if something bigger isnt going on. he finishes as much of it for as long as he can because it means he has more time to do more personal things like shitty vigilante bullshit. he’s also a big science asshole so he does his own personal research (mostly dealing with , say, mutations that could potentially lead to a person being able to duplicate himself, which may or may not lead to being abandoned by a sibling and ruining your life) 

he spends a very small portion of his time hanging out with friends, too, but he doesn’t have a lot of good friends (’hang out’ level friends) that aren’t also superheroes, so this is like a Really Small portion of the pie chart i’m making in my head . things like movies/diners (mcdonalds...)/hanging out in the junkyard, yk normal teen moron things (because he’s kind of a lughead jock boy )

he also works at his grandparents’ mattress store, which is underneath their apartment, because it’s close and he doesn’t want them to need to pay an employee when he could just work there for Living In Their Home And Imposing On Them For Thirteen-ish Years 

also he has a pet bird he likes to hang out with when hes at home, so doing hw or when he’s got mackenzie over or obsessively checking radio news stations on any or all of five radios
