This isn't really an ask, but I am an ex-r*ylo fan now and I deeply regret ever liking it. Before I thought Snoke just really brainwashed kylo ren and been in his head since he was a baby and shit like that but now I see that doesnt vailidate anything he's done. I never belived his parents were abusive or anything like that. I'm not entirely sure if that's what reylos made up but I got too influences by them and belivied them. So I think they pulled off this shit and other people belived it.

There are many, many villain/hero ships out there that share the same aspects as r3ylo, especially when it comes to woobifying the villains or finding excuses for them. But in the most cases, the shippers are tolerable people who know how to stay in their lanes and who, despite the aforementioned woobifying, acknowledge what their ships are truly like.

Where r3ylo differs (and yet at the same time reminds me of another ship - OUAT’s C@ptain Sw@n) is that the shippers got so loud and invasive in pushing their version of the ship on everyone. It doesn’t help that shipping communities, especially when the ship has lots of detractors, tend towards isolating themselves, creating a party line of sorts, peer pressuring the members to follow the said line and punishing those who speak out. (I made this post last January and it’s almost sad how my predictions of the shippers’ behaviour came true).

I’m glad for you that you got out of that ship’s frankly toxic environment. I wouldn’t beat up myself too much over liking it, most people have a ship they regret in their history. Making mistakes is a part of growing up, especially owning up to those mistakes. And young people getting caught up in wanting to belong and have the approval of their peers, well, that kind of thing is more than understandable.

i really like hydrangeas! (they were my wedding flowers!) but i also like sunflowers and lilacs. i honestly like most flowers, but i will admit that i prefer lego varieties over the real thing because i do not have a green thumb 😔

i also think chrissy wouldn’t be able to pick a fave! she does strike me as a daisy girl, though. honestly, any flower eddie gives her becomes her new favorite 🥹

ive actually only seen a few ghibli films! i remember liking kikis delivery service but i havent seen it in so long that it would be a cop out answer. the one ive seen the most is howls moving castle!
