I want my nights to end in your eyes
I want my mornings to start in your arms!
POSITIVE WEDNESDAY: Never let your failures of today stop you from trying tomorrow
Tomorrow you show up better. You wake up early, you meditate, you set new goals for the month, you take your vitamins, you drink your smoothie, you study for one hour, you do your yoga stretches to your music, you listen to your positive affirmations on YouTube, you read your book and call the girls (whilst doing your nails), you change your sheets, you start again.
"Move forward...don't look back... because this is all we have... time don't wait for no one..."
Music: Start Again (feat. Elena Tonra) -- Rob Simonsen & Faux Fix (Album: The Age of Adaline -- Original Motion Picture Score)
Series: Have You Told Your Beloved Ones You Love Them Today?
This is the first video from a series highlighting moments from the last family reunion that two precious families took together to celebrate my parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary. Little did we know then that it would be the last vacation we would all take together before terrific setbacks and deaths of our loved ones would take them from us forever.
Life is precious. Making these videos helps me remember how much goodness fills my life, not just the tragedy I am enduring now; nor the tragedies the whole country has been enduring especially this year as political division has split friends and families into smaller and smaller groups defined by what divides rather than what unites.
I tell you. When it comes right down to the wire and you are fortunate enough to be by the bedside of a loved one when they are dying, differences don't matter. All that matters is the love shared. If we take anything with us when we die, it is love... nothing more... not opinions, beliefs, money, not even your body, but possibly love goes with you when you die.
This song is absolutely perfect to begin this mini series of memories. And it is absolutely perfect for today (November 7, 2020) when the extremely contentious Presidential election was called for Biden around 11:30 am EST. We are more alike than we are different, and it is the moments when we are able to hold opposing views and opposing qualities (the good deeds and the hurtful deeds done), which are possessed by our friends and members of our family and complete strangers and in ourselves in dynamic balance that we create a more beautiful reality defined by love.
This is what matters in the end...not popularity, not power, not being right all the time... it is love. Just as this beautiful song says: "Time won't wait for no one... so start again..."
Why waste our short and precious time in the light of love with division and destruction?
This is the Here and Now to heal and unite. Biden is right, we choose not to cooperate... we can also choose to cooperate... and we can choose to love each other... even strangers because we are all human and we are all here on this beautiful planet Here and Now. We can all start a new beginning because we are human!
P.S. -- I don't know about you, but I cried a lot tonight watching everything unfold on the radio and TV while making this mini movie of my beloved ones. When CNN transcripts are finished for Don Lemon tonight, I will link them here because he said something so raw, so true, so healing, so full of heart... it is one of millions of shining moments unfolding in this Now.
All of us are part of the light, if we choose to be in the light, which is love. Division is deep, and it's very dark down there regardless of if we fall down there because of something a brother or a sister did to us, or a friend forgot to do, or purposeful deception to push people down there... it doesn't matter... it's just dark down there in the hole of division, mistrust, hate, jealousy, resentment, mistrust, bitterness, greed, rapacity, avarice...you get the idea. Fill up your hole with the sweet, nourishing waters of love, which runs deep inside of you... in the place we call soul.
